It's easy to find a box at the beach that sleeps 14, but can you find a home away from home, a hassle-free place that will truly let you relax, have fun, maybe even reacquaint yourself with family and friends?.........

.........The Lewes Beach House is the ideal multi-family destination rental - convenient to everything, yet quiet and peaceful. Located within the DeBraak Preserve on the Delaware Bay, the house is right on the beach and short walks to the trails and fishing pier in Cape Henlopen State Park, as well as the shopping, restaurants, and activities of Downtown Lewes.

Inside this three-story, 3200 square foot house you'll find two master suites, each with a direct view of the bay, and three other well-appointed bedrooms. There are four full and two half baths. The living room is a destination unto itself with a large screen TV and large plush sofas. There is formal dining for eight and additional casual dining for four. The kitchen is well equipped to handle preparation and service of the big family meal, or just the blending-up of some margaritas (blender, ice-maker, and margarita glasses included). Each room has a designer color scheme with coordinated furniture and bed linens - no tacky beach decor, here.

Did we mention the elevator that offers accessibility to the entire house and is really handy when carrying in groceries? The entire house is air-conditioned, of course, but with decks accessible from all the bedrooms, as well as the living room and dining room, you may spend most of your leisure time outside.

There is a single-car garage and private parking for an additional 5 vehicles. You'll also appreciate a laundry room with full-size appliances. Just bring bed linens, towels and all your personal items, and you're ready for an incredible family vacation.

Birthday Beach Trip

I surprised my "special needs" daughter with this trip for her 40th birthday with closest family. It could not have been better...the house was great...the weather was beautiful. The only thing was trouble getting bedroom TV's to connect or find remote for some. Was not a huge issue as the TV in the main area was no problem.

Family Vacation

We had a great time. The house had everything that we needed and had a great location to everything. You can see a beautiful sunrise and sunset each day from the multiple decks. We would definitely rent this location again

Lovely home great for a group.

Spacious home with nice views of the ocean. Kitchen very well stocked. Easy walk into town. Comfortable bedrooms. Oddly located on a large public parking lot but in off season it was very quiet. The address does not match Waze or the listing so double check with host on how to find the house.

Beautiful Rental

It was so nice to stay at this rental. The views of the beach from the living room and 3rd floor Master headroom were beautiful! The house was stocked with cookware and other kitchen needs. The place was very clean and overall an amazing stay for a long weekend!

We are regular visitors of Lewes DE and to find this house right on our favorite beach was fantastic. The house was perfect location was great. If only mother nature had given us a little less wind.

Girls weekend

This was the third consecutive year we've stayed at this property and we still love it. The house is equipped with just about everything needed for a perfect getaway. Great time with old friends

Great getaway for long time friends, ages 70+, elevator was a Godsend. Perfect location, loved the town of Lewes. Our only complaint was dishwasher was not working and was full of dirty dishes when we arrived. Also an odor trying to be covered with plug ins.

Wonderful location with a beautiful view

The house was very clean, nicely furnished and provided great sunset views, as well as an easy walk to downtown Lewes for restaurants and boutique shopping. It was also a great location for taking little ones to the beach -- though there is a parking lot between the front of the house and the beach, so little ones have to be watched when you leave the house. As far as we were concerned, the parking lot was the only drawback to the otherwise perfect location.

Great Place

This was the charming, comfy, well-located place we had hoped for. The rooms were spacious, kitchen well-fitted for cooking, elevator great for hauling luggage and supplies up. Had we had kids we would've appreciated all the gear in the garage. We enjoyed the location-- easy walking into town and around the neighborhoods, and conveniently located for catching the ferry to Cape May.

Family gathering

This was a great house for us to spend a long weekend with our kids and grandkids. There was plenty of room for us to be together for games, crafts and tv watching, but also enough space to spread out and have some quiet time, too. The house was clean, well decorated and stocked with everything we needed. The views were beautiful, and although it was too cool to swim, the children had fun playing on the beach. AND…you can walk to DQ! (The highlight of one 4 year old’s trip!) Would definitely recommend.

Family Thanksgiving

My family decided to stay at this house for the thanksgiving weekend and the location could not have been better! Overall was a nice getaway. A few hiccups along the way but it did not overshine our overall experience... we had a bit of a hard time finding the house due to recent street & house number changes that were not clearly communicated. We were also lucky in that we had 1 family member in the area who was able to bring towel/linens. Also, if you're a light sleeper, please bring earplugs! The house was quite noisy when the wind picked up.

GNO LEWES DE 2023

Our group of women friends from around the east coast and Midwest meet at a different location each fall. Lewes was convenient for many of the group. The house met our requirements for # beds and an elevator. The kitchen was well appointed as described and there were many more spices and condiments than expected. Plenty of games and things to support family activities. Beach access was great and plenty of places for walks. Walk into town was quick sn there were great shops and restaurants. We had two issues. 1. The televisions were not “smart”. We ate dinner in two of the three nights and did a early dinner out the third and really wanted to watch movies each evening using our personal streaming services. Given the cost of TVs. The TVs should have supported streaming. Also several people wanted to mirror their phone for a yoga class and could not do that 2. Having to rent towels and linens is very inconvenient for people traveling by air. Understand that seems to be the rule for VRBO properties in the area but we probably world not choose to rent there again. Renting linens, etc is expensive and not readily available off season While not a show stopper, the bedding looked like it had been well used during the season and the washer and dryer and other non kitchen appliances are starting to show the effects of the salt air!! Time for some updates!!

This is our fourth time staying at this property for our annual girls weekend and we love it as much as the first time. This year, the owner seems to have made more room by flattening some of the hilly sand for easier parking in driveway which was a pleasant surprise. The owner is very attentive to concerns and quick to repond. Can't wait till next year!

This is a great property for a family looking for a quiet bay beach. LEWES is a beautiful little town and the house was beautiful. The owners were very responsive when there were weather issues and we enjoyed our stay very much. Has all the amenities you could need and an elevator for anybody that can’t do the stairs. Great week.

The location of the house is perfect for walking into downtown Lewes (.5 mile away), getting to the beach (short walk across parking lot), and grabbing some ice cream at the Dairy Queen just around the corner. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the decks. The elevator is quite handy when moving into and out of the house. For this of you that are members of the American Legion, there is a wonderful post located just a couple blocks away with very welcoming and friendly members!
