After you've visited all of the amazing sights in España, there's more to discover in the surrounding region. Collect the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and get out there. These are some road trips we know you'll love:

• Santa Marta is about 110 miles from España. Famous attractions like Rodadero Beach deserve to be at the top of your list while you're in town.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Colombia, then it's likely you'll need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. A few other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before sliding behind the wheel. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
