“The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and will store luggage until checkin time. Great location, very close to the train and bus stations and many restaurants. There were a few negatives: there is no lift and the stairs are steep, the toilet seat was too small for the base and it was not fastened properly. It would be helpful to have some place to put soap while in the shower.”

“Our second visit and it certainly did not disappoint. From our arrival, being met in the car park, through our stay to the very last minute, the staff could not do enough for us. Room was spacious and well laid out. Lemon cake already in the room was delicious. Grounds are amazing especially if like me, you are interested in plants, their growth and wellbeing. The orchard and veg/herb gardens are a joy. We opted for the tasting menu which was wonderful. Strawberry dessert was to die……

“Fantastic one night stay. Beautiful manor and grounds with peacocks wandering about. Smooth checkin and directions to room. Very tasty dinner in the main restaurant and excellent service from staff. Room very comfy and slept well. Rooms and communal areas require a bit of TLC to deal with minor water damage but this in no way impacted our stay or would stop us visiting again. Wide variety of options for breakfast and good quality ingredients (fruit, cereals, pastries, breads, cheese, cooked……
