"Better than we expected. Booked one night and stayed for three because it was so relaxing. It’s true, you hear some noise from the nearby 2 lane road, but only in outside areas. Besides that, the suite was so roomy, well decorated, balcony view overlooking endless olive groves and villages. Delicious breakfast is included…real food, ..fresh cucumbers & tomatoes, cheeses, eggs and bacon, cheese and spinach pies, pastries, yogurt, fruit. Wonderful staff. Reasonable price. We will be back."

"We had a beautiful family holiday in Crete with 4 adults for 10 nights. A car is needed, but the house is easy to find and well located for exploring the area.The grounds are complemented by the peacocks, cats, beautiful trees, and general remoteness.Although the house claims to accommodate 12, I would have been disappointed if there had been 12 guests. I would suggest max 8, (poss 9) There were extra beds that were in cupboards, but these would make the rooms cramped. One of the rooms does not have air con.The house is a lovely, spacious family home, but some areas were tired. The kitchen was quite dark and some areas were dirty. Good pots and pans, lots of crockery and glasses, but not much room to store food.The pool was lovely, with 4 sun loungers and a really lovely, spacious and shady seating area. Although not needed, there was no hot tub as listed.The location is fairly quiet, but on Friday and Saturday nights the wedding venue next door is loud (there must me a Crete wedding tradition of noisy exhausts on cars- wow, they are loud!) and the music often went on to the early hours, but the wedding fireworks were lovely.Overall, we had a really lovely time and Stella was very helpful and responded quickly if we had any issues."

"This is an absolutely charming house bursting with character but at the same time very practical to live in. It is as pretty as the photographs suggest. There has obviously been careful thought as to what visitors would need in the house to make the stay enjoyable.We found it to be quiet with just the normal life of a village going on around us. In particular we loved the completely private pool with a lovely view, and the front courtyard, which ensured there was always somewhere sunny or shady, depending on your needs.Stelios was particularly helpful with recommendations both before and during our visit.It is quite possible with a car to visit as far west as Rethimno, East to Agios Nikolaos (we liked Kritsa with it's crafts and frescoes) and as far south as Phaestos, which I preferred to Knossos as it was so much more atmospheric.Heraklion itself is an easy 25 minute drive and the port carparks always had spaces, were inexpensive, and an easy walk to the old town and fantastic museum.All in all a lovely base to visit that part of Crete."
