Communication was clear and timely. Check in and out was seemless. Stayed in the Freedom lodge room which was cozy and every detail thorough down to the toothbrushes, soaps and snacks available any time, even pop tarts and twinkies. Even though we were only passing through to Fredricksburg I would vacation in Seymour just so I could stay here again!

Happy to find this cute little cabin in the town of Seymour. The cleanliness and comfort of this room was top notch with luxurious towels and linens to the comfy rockers on the front porch. If we should pass this way again we will hang our hat at the Roots Retreat. The town of Seymour offers several great places to eat.

We loved our stay at Roots Retreat! We stayed in a cabin and it was beautifully decorated and so clean! It had every amenity you would need...coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave, lots of places to plug in your electronics and even toothbrushes if you forget yours! There is no closet, but they provided a wall hanger to use. It was more like a home than a temporary place to stay. This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed and since we have family in the area, we'll be staying here again!

The room was very clean an very nice the owners on the other hand were very rude and snobby . We had some car trouble and my husband had to crawl under the car to tap the starter to get it to crank an the car came outta park an ran him over he has some cracked ribs and is now outta work . They were very rude to him about it an claiming he was trying to run thru they their building . They then knocked on the room door an kicked me out at 9am when checkout wasn't until 1130. It was so embarrassing they were very rude and demeaning . They not once cared if he was ok or offered aid. I will not being going back there. They treated us like we were beneath them.it was a very scary moment and and they nevered show concern or cared if he was ok but instead kicked us out before checkout . I guess they just assumed we were trash and didn't deserve to be treated like humans.

Amazing little gem hiden in Seymour Texas. You can definitely tell this is a family run business and there was a ton of thought put into every detail. I could go on for days about the little details that made the difference between family run personal comfort vs high end corporate places. Hands down, the best place I have stayed at. And as someone previously mentioned, the absolute most comfortable mattress. Seriously, go stay a night or 2 and tell me if Im wrong.

The room was very quaint and loved the way it was set up and decorated. Very clean and had everything we needed. Very fresh clean smell the minute we walked in. Little set up for coffee and snacks was soo cute and had everything we needed. Definitely is the place to say at if in the area. We had a wedding to attend and our stay was perfect.

Great place to stay

The lodge has the cutest rooms and very comfortable. I highly recommend and will stay there again. Definitely impressed with the bed in our room and the size of room that my niece had for her family.
