The Castle at Camorene

A taste of the Ozarks from this unique well-appointed home is a short drive from the airport and a half mile from one of Springfield’s best golf courses & Moon Town Crossing. Your proximity to IH-44 means you’re minutes from anything in Springfield! This updated 4 bed 2 ½ bath has all the amenities you need. Whether you’re here for a Bears football game, or want a place to kick back after a round of golf, the Castle on Camorene can be your home away from home.
The space
We have 3 bedrooms on the main level. There is an office with a daybed up a unique spiral staircase. There is a 5th bedroom downstairs. The downstairs has a 2nd living room with a game table and a foosball table.

The location was good for where we needed. The house is not good for young children. The stairs to the top floor are dangerous and the door to the basement doesn't latch. The house needs some work

Had everything we needed for our trip. Would have been nice to use the garage to park the classic Mustang we had down there for a car show. The listing should probably note that the garage is not to be used for cars.

Moms Weekend

There were 4 moms and 3 daughter that stayed at the house for mom's weekend at our daughters sorority. House was great for a large group! Plenty of space. Very responsive to our questions! I didn't read the listing when I saw 3 bathrooms I didn't realize it was 2 full and 1 half but that is my fault for not paying attention! Would stay again!Thanks!Tammy

At first glance the house looks nice, and overall it is. The 2 full baths are very small. Especially the main bath. The shower in there needs to be completely redone. The caulk is all black and just doesn't look clean. There are other things that should also be remodeled. Cleaning is not the best. When we pulled into the driveway there was broken glass everywhere. Also the main bedroom mattress is terrible and needs to be replaced. We did have plenty of room and the kitchen and living room were comfortable. The floors were very uneven though. Bottom line is that you can tell it's a rental. Not much care put into the home. Probably would not stay there again.
