Stourhead Garden Tours

A good location and the hotel was an impressive building in itself. The reception area was clean, large but welcoming, with areas off it to sit or eat and drink looking very inviting. My room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was spacious too. The shower tray made rather a noise as I stood on it and moved but it felt secure. I ordered a meal which was nicely served and totally delicious. The wine was very good too. There is a BIG disappointment however in that on the second day I arrived back at my room to find that it hadn’t been serviced. My tea tray was as I’d left it with dirty mugs. Nothing in the room had been cleaned or renewed. These things can happen but it’s how they are sorted that counts. I was VERY disappointed with the follow up, in every respect. It tainted what had, up until that point, been a very good experience.

Have stayed at the du Vin many times on work trips to Bristol. I love the shower(!!) - but proportions of the room, the layout, the bed, the sheets and pillows - it’s all just right for me.
