"Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

"If only the owners would listen to the customer feedback from previous guests! All the same niggling issues stop this from getting g a 5 star rating. "We only stayed for 3 nights but enjoyed our time. We easily commuted to Skye each day for wonderful hiking, returning to a cozy home by the water. Anna was wonderful, there was an issue with the internet, we didn’t even know was a problem until she reached out with a plan to have it fixed. Before we returned from hiking she had dispatched her local contact to fix the issue. We loved the efforts Anna took to maintain the original feel of the home, while updating where necessary - best shower!!!...

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"Together with two friends who were in a separate room, I stayed two nights in the property in May 2024 Big plusses for me the following: we were in the garden annexe. Ace. That was number one. The location was convenient for the bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. In addition the room was spacious, the bed comfortable. One big negative was that the heating system for my room seemed to be a bit menopausal is it only seem to go for about three minutes and it then cut off. Don’t know if that was accident...
