We really enjoyed this property and the access to the river. The town of Three Rivers is also a fun place to hang out for a couple of days with several food options and things to see. The weather was HOT while we were there, but the AC in the cabin kept everything very cool and comfortable. We would love to stay again!
Property is well maintained, well stocked and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Description and pictures of home are all very accurate. Loved the swimming hole behind the home that was perfect for relaxing and swimming with the family.
We had such a relaxing stay at the Heron Hideaway. The property has a gorgeous view and we were able to walk right up to the river. Local food spots are less than 10 minutes away. Communication with Robin was smooth leading up to and during our stay. It was the perfect spot for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you!
Nice location to town but on a nice quiet road. Easy access to the parks. Best feature was definitely the river access from the backyard. Manager was excellent.
The house was perfect for our stay. It was clean and cozy and had everything needed. Perfect serene retreat to relax after our day of hiking. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a place close to Sequoia National Park.
Very well equipped and comfortable three bedroom home on beautiful many acre property with babbling brook running through it. Lovely place. Would definitely rent again.
An exceptional cabin.Sequoia Park is overwhelmingly beautiful! Fabulous vacation with family!Hope to return in the near future! Absolutely beautiful setting! Comfortable, clean and roomy !
My Husband & I along with our dog enjoyed our stay at the Heron Hide Away. Beautiful home, bright and cheerful, large windows to let in the sunshine! Good AC to keep it cool in the afternoons. Loved having the river as the back yard and sitting on the patio with coffee in the mornings & wine in the evenings.
Very clean and comfortable house on the Kaweah River. The house is about 15 minutes the Sequoia Gate. The house was very nice…not a deal breaker but there is no dishwasher. It was just my husband and i but if there is a family that’s quite a bit of dishes to wash. Again, great house.
We loved the house and all of the personal touches/amenities that greeted us there. The river view was amazing and the sound of the water was so soothing… it was so relaxing sitting on back porch listening to it flow. I would live here if I could:)
What a fantastic property and wonderful manager! And it's *truly* dog friendly too.
The pictures don't do this one enough justice. At all times the views are great and the sound of the river in the distance soothes the soul.
Fully recommended.
This property and host are absolutely amazing.
The host contacted us via text to let us know we could get into the rental early. The house is spotless, well-decorated and so comfortable. We spent all our time in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. This was a great place to relax after long days of Hiking.
Robin was a wonderful host and made us feel welcome.-Thank you Robin
When I stay on a property if I am left with wanting to own the property myself that tells you it was a great place to stay. It was clean and the design of the home was perfect for a family of 6. My one complaint would be the grounds behind the home leading to the river could use better upkeep and 2 maintained walking paths and a walking path along the river would be a welcome addition to the property. But location, and everything about the home itself was great!
Our family needed a place to stay for a long wedding weekend and Heron hideaway was the perfect choice!
Communication with the property manager was easy and quick.
Coffee and food in town is a five minute drive away and access to Sequoia is just a few more minutes up the road. The river is lovely and refreshing. The patio and deck area is surrounded by trees without site line to any other properties. Feels like your own secluded oasis.
Thanks!
Perfect Getaway: Well-Appointed Home Near Sequoia National Park
Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Robin's Heron Home! The property was incredibly well appointed, offering everything we needed to cook, grill and enjoy our meals. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful patio for our morning coffee, accompanied by hummingbirds and the soothing sound of the nearby river.
We had excellent nights of sleep throughout our stay due in part to the exquisite linens! The location was ideal for our vacation, as we planned to visit Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. The proximity to the parks, as well as local restaurants and other conveniences, allowed us to make the best use of our limited time.
Robin was a gracious and responsive host, making us feel welcome right from the start. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Really enjoyed our stay at Heron Hideaway. This charming rental is off the beaten path in Three Rivers, on a large lot with no close neighbors and adjacent to the river just a 2-3 minute walk. The rental has everything you will need - well stocked kitchen, towels, bedding, bathroom supplies, BBQ. The beds are comfortable and everything in the rental is up-to-date, modern appliances, etc. Three Rivers main area with restaurants, market and the coffee shop are about a 5-10 minute drive away. Robin was a very attentive host and responded immediately with any of our questions. She also provides lots of nice personal touches and back up bathroom supplies which goes above and beyond imo. We’ll be back!
Appreciated the stay. Cleanest vrbo I’ve stayed in. A/C is quiet and strong. I was a bit surprised with the amount of paperwork needed prior to the stay but the rental is professionally managed by a competent property manager. The creek was not clear and current seemed dangerous during our stay so we did not visit it unfortunately.
I think it would be better to include the list of chores into the cleaning fee. The rental requires guests to take off all bed linens, pillowcases and towels upon check out. Also the rental does not have a dishwasher.
The property was wonderful, as was the house. For an older person, it was a little difficult getting down to the river, but once there, we caught fish on our first 2 casts. It was an extremely comfortable home and we loved the back porch area. Everything was accurately stated in the VBRO description. Neighbors were not close, but one had their music blasting well into the night on Saturday. The property manager Robin, was amazing. She Promptly took care of a small issue we had, and was very respectful of our privacy. I can only give this property a 5 star rating, though we won't be going back. Not sure what it was, but my adult son and his little girl had extreme allergy flareups while we were there.
Great peaceful place with access to deep swimming holes
This was our first time here, and we loved both the house and its location in Three Rivers. My parents, my daughter and I enjoyed swimming, fishing, barbecuing in the evenings, and going to town for ice cream and groceries. The house stands on a big piece of land, so there is privacy, and it’s situated perfectly where you have access to deeper parts of the river suitable for water activities. Water shoes are advices if you are into swimming, as well as goggles because it’s a great place to dive (you might see fish in the water).
We went in early July, and there were no mosquitoes. It was so hot that I went for early swims at 7 am. The house has separate air conditioning in each room, so you can change it depending on your needs. The beds were comfy, kitchen was equipped with pretty much everything we needed, and the rooms were comfortable. There are two bathrooms and even a small cute office room in case someone needs to work on the laptop or write.
The walk to the river took about 1-2 minutes (for us), and there were two ways to get there: through the grassy, rocky terrain (more difficult), or along the short dirt path and then the asphalt road (much easier). In any case, the river bank is very close and you walk on private land, and it’s beautiful. We saw squirrels, blue jays, and a deer, but I am pretty sure that if we stayed up late into the night, we would see more animals. Our days were filled with swimming and fishing, we loved our stay. Thanks!
