Beautiful vistas looking over the Bay, watching the sun set, walking the Nature Trail, swimming in the pool. Lots of reading material. Breakfast was delicious. Close to town with a general store and restaurants. Great place to calm down.
beautiful location; the innkeepers are friendly and helpful; the breakfasts are good, some days we had homemade banana bread. The pool is good.
We had attic room--this is a problem--challenging to go up and down stairs and avoid bumping one's head. After 5, guests have to stop to open and shut and lock 2 gates.
Liked the nature trail adjacent to the Inn.
We had a wonderful trip. The property is a truly scenic spot. There are many birds in the area. Our room was the Talbot room and was comfortable. There is no TV, but there is internet. The hot breakfast was tasty. Tracy, one of the hosts, was very friendly and informative.
Loved everything ! Homemade breakfast included, incredible location, views, serene and quiet, owners accessible and invested in guests having a wonderful time.View of sunset comparable to Key West. Can't wait to book again next summer.
If you are staying in the “attic room” and you are taller than 5’0”, you will have a problem. Location was fantastic but the breakfast was a small piece of quiche and a soggy waffle in a plastic container. On the up side, the coffee was great.
Both of us loved the peace and quiet. The breakfast every morning was great. Being by the water was very cathartic. We were totally relaxed. My wife and I will definitely return for another stay and to see the owners, Bob and Tracy, again. They were an absolute delight.
A lovely historic inn which sits on the beautiful point of Tilghman Island, Maryland. The innkeepers are friendly yet provide the feeling of privacy for couples trying to get away from it all. Breakfast was excellent with many things coming from their extensive garden, including the eggs from their own chickens. We extended our stay an extra day because we didn't want to leave.
Enjoyed this historic B&B at the tip of Tilghman Island. Very nice grounds surround the house. Lots of birds (eagles, osprey, terns, etc) and a lovely dock to watch the sunrise from. In the evening you can sit on the porch in a rocking chair and enjoy a liquid refreshment (BYOB) while watching the sunset.. or take it in from one of several hammocks on the grounds. The hosts (Bob and Tracy) were very friendly and provided great breakfasts each day that we were there. We stayed in the Talbot Room in the main house and it was comfortable. If you are coming here to use Wi-Fi or watch TV, this isn't for you. But if you want a relaxing getaway...this is the place. Would definitely visit here again!

Beautiful venue, hosts were really sweet. Very accommodating and kind.
It was great to stay at Black Walnut Point Inn. My most memorable aspect of the stay was the very impromptu conversation with Tracy who has an amazing life story. The property overall is beautiful and peaceful. The home is decorated with antiques and the rooms are very clean. The views are gorgeous and I would 10/10 recommend. My only regret is not staying longer.

The proprietors were extremely friendly and helpful, the property and views are absolutely stunning, we absolutely will be staying here again!
Wow!! This is a wonderful place with an amazing view and lots of history. We could have stayed longer if we knew how nice it is. Our omelets in the morning had home made eggplant chutney and man that was great!

Being there reminded me of being in my grandmother's old house as a kid. So many things are makeshift trying to be more modern. I missed have a desk/table surface to use a laptop. Scenery could have been awesome except it was 100% clouds when I was there. But, I could easily see how the place would be very nice for a family to spend a few days there. Pool. Patio with a grill. Hammocks.

Disappointed Guests
We stayed in the main house. Upon entering, we noticed the peeling paint and rotten wood on the house and porch, and the smell of mildew upon entering the door. Our room was smelly, bedspread was wet from dampness, mildew stained pillows, cobwebs on lamp shades, tiny bathroom and shower stall, shower stall for one with standing in place room only and no shelves to put soap or anything else, shower curtain old and frayed. There was a window ac unit.
We slept in our clothes and did not use the shower. There were 2 couples at breakfast who were staying in the cabins and they were not happy either....they had the same complaints.
The owners were in a hurry to leave for their vacation that afternoon, gave us a hurried tour with another potential visitor, and did not even have any bottled water......only well water. No comfy atmosphere, smelly and rundown.
A cold front had come in that day with alot of wind and rain. The roads leading to the inn were full of pot holes and flooded....it wasn't even high tide. When I asked Bob about the flooding on the road, as we were concerned about getting stuck later upon returning from town and dinner, he said it's never happened. This place is at the end of the peninsula, surrounded by the bay on 3 sides. The other 2 couples said they were glad they had an suv with 4 wheel drive.
Black Walnut Point Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. Out of the mainstream but convenient. A wonderful, interesting building. Charming, conversant hosts.
We will be staying there again.
