“Great room! Super cozy space. Really liked my pillows. Newly remodeled bathroom with soaking tub, awesome shower. Grounds are pretty. Staff is very welcoming. They have a thoughtful enhancement package: flowers, wine, cheese board available. Great tea selection. Classic Victorian decor in the common areas. I was only here for one night, but it was relaxing and very enjoyable. ”

“This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. Thank you!”

“This B&B was one of the highlights of our trip to Cooperstown. Not only was the historical building gorgeous and beautifully (painstakingly!) restored, but the entire staff was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was DELICIOUS (thanks, Chef!), the in room amenities were top quality, and the room itself was cozy and quiet. It’s walkable to the Baseball HOF and other Main Street attractions. We cannot wait to come back! Highly recommend! ”

“Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed.
Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. The pillows did not have liners in the pillow cases and were stained so we did not use them. The sheets had other people's hair on them, so we didn't use the cover sheets or blankets. The part of the house we stayed……
