Cozy little place
This is a nice small cabin with a great view of the lake. We stayed for one weekend off season but I am sure it is a great place to vacation in the summer. It has everything you need, very clean, and the hosts go out if their way to make sure you are comfortable. It is an upgrade from camping but if luxury is your style, it isn’t for you.

Adorable cabin with excellent view
Great location that was close to all of the UP things we wanted to do. The lake view from cabin was wonderful. The kitchen pots and pans aren’t stocked very well so bring your own if you plan to cook a lot. Otherwise we loved it!

Beautiful and peaceful stay
The cottage was clean, comfortable and peaceful. Trout Lake was beautiful and we were able to see and hear Lunes almost every day. Carrie is an amazing hands on host and is so helpful and easy to communicate with. She even texted us on our way up to make sure we had her contact information! Would love to return in the future as it felt like an “Old Michigan” resort and I hope this gem is around a long time to come!

Snowmobile trip
We rented cabin #2 to use as a base for our riding trip. The resort was as expected (quaint cabin in the UP) and the manager checked in with us in person once and via text. The place was very busy, most cabins were full but all staying were very friendly and respectful. We have one reactive dog that barks at strangers. Due to this issue (of our own making) the resort didn't work well for us. No one complained however we do not want to be disrespectful of others vacations. We would stay again without our noisy pet. We recommend if you want a place to ride directly to the trails (about 1/4 mile away).

Great cabin
Great cabin, great stay. Carrie was more than helpful with accommodating two late season whitetail hunters. No deer, but had a great time. Five Stars.

Fantastic place!
I loved our stay at the cabin! It was relatively inexpensive compared to other resorts, clean, quiet, and so relaxing! Carrie was an awesome host. The only thing people should know is there is no phone signal unless you go right down to the water's edge. This place is pretty centrally located in the UP, so we spent many days on day trips to just explore. I would definitely stay there again!

Great spot for recreation
We loved the swim spot, watching sunrises, campfires at sunset, the Buckhorn in town, and the proximity for day trips to Kitch-iti-kipi and The Shipwreck Museum.
The bed and bathroom could use an upgrade for the price per night; however, we weren't staying in the cabin for its amenities. :)
