"I quite like this hotel and it's one of the better hotels in the Merced area. My only issue is that it is quite loud on the M Street side because the train is in the vicinity, which runs until very late. The other problem that they cannot control is the health food/juice bar (also the M Street side) that blasts music all day starting at 9 a.m. Book yourself a room on the alley side, or quiet side. One of the best features of El Capitan is it has a nice coffee bar downstairs that also serves snacks. Their staff is very friendly, too. I also love the filtered water and ice station on the 3rd floor. If you're a big water drinker, this is a marvelous amenity."

"I had a great overall experience staying at Motel 6 Oakdale. The staff was friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, which made the stay smooth and stress-free. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. I also appreciated the convenient location—it made getting around town easy. For the price, it’s definitely a good value. Overall, I’m satisfied with my stay and would consider coming back again in the future."

"It was very nice! Good Breakfast each day. Coffee was great!! Clean room and quiet and peaceful! Staff friendly and very helpful. Check in was fine. Elevators worked well and cards to get in your room. On other side of hotel is a Save Mart, Subway sandwiches, great Mexican restaurant and Denny’s! Starbucks too!!! Great location. "

"The trains come by every couple hours. Plan on not getting any sleep. Front desk treats third party customers differently. I’m a Hilton gold member and have never been told before I don’t qualify for gold member benefits because I booked with a third party. But the train noise is absolutely terrible."

"Definitely need to replace be pillows and repair flooring where the bathroom door way is."
