This large, 3 story Victorian house is perfect for your large or multi-family vacation. It's also an ideal setting for your next family reunion! Choose to hideaway and enjoy the peaceful landscapes on property, read a book in the house's private library or take advantage of all that southwestern PA and Ohiopyle has to offer just minutes away!

Summer days filled with swimming in a private pool, hiking, biking or picnicking on the hilltop plateau with fire pit...it's view will take your breath away. Catch morning mountain sunrises, spend a lazy day sipping your favorite refreshment on the wrap-around porch and enjoy the western sky sunsets from the private plateau. Then, dream the nights away in one of four cozy bedrooms---each one with a personality of it's own.

Pool was awesome, kids and adults loved it ! The Top of the Hill look out was perfect for viewing stars and the meteor shower! House very spacious and kitchen is well stocked . Owner is very reachable and attentive .

This property had all the amenities of home located on beautiful land. Many in our party enjoyed the pool. The historical items in the home were intriguing and thoughtful. My favorite part was the wrap-around porch. We will return.

Victorian in the orchard
Beautifully charming spacious Victorian home sitting on 70 acres with surrounding orchard. All the amenities of home filled with antiques and memories of a by-gone era. House is minutes to restaurants shopping and state park. Highly recommend.

Great for reunion
Charming Victorian near Ohiopyle, Kentuck Knob, Fort Necessity, etc. Worked out perfectly for a family reunion. Very well stocked kitchen (but bring your own favorite spices). Pool was great even though it was chilly; the teenagers didn’t seem to mind much! A few of us walked over to Klay winery (it’s that close) but it’s far safer to drive.

GREAT STAY
Very cool country estate. The field on the top of the hill was a great place to have a fire with the family. Pool was refreshing and clean. Plenty of amenities for families of all ages.

Unprofessional and unfair property management group
We were very excited to stay at this property. Unfortunately, due to a close Covid exposure, our family decided not to meet at this location and stay home to ensure everyone’s health. Understanding that we canceled and less than the 14 day cancellation time, we knew we would have to pay in full. Which was a very large sum of money and we knew this ahead of time. We asked several times to not be charged for the linen fee, cleaning fee, and pet fee as these alone were $150. Additionally there was over $300 for host fees, service fees, etc that we did not request however I find that a 2 night weekend rental, listed for $369 a night totaling over $1100 would be willing to refund fees that were not incurred. It’s very frustrating to pay for services that are not rendered. I have emailed the management company twice and they keep reading their cancellation policy. I understand we need to pay for the stay, I do not understand why we need to pay for cleaning, linens and pets when we did not use the property.

Lot's of room
This is the second time that I've stayed here with my family. We love the pool and the living areas. The beds and pillows are a little old but adequate. The kitchen was well-appointed and bedrooms and the bathrooms are large. The wraparound porch is great! We absolutely love staying here and the locale! Lots to do in the area. I think we'll make this our annual big family vacation place.

Extended family meeting spot
This house was the perfect meeting spot for our extended family which included 3 couples, 5 kids & 2 dogs. There are a lot of easy activities close by. After a morning field trip we would gather at the house. The pool in the back was a great place to relax. There is so much history both of the house & the area. The notebook with fun facts about the property was an added bonus. We liked the trail with the field and firepit on the top of the hill. A great place for our family to meet between the east coast and midwest.

Family and friends 2 day getaway!
Enjoyed this century Victorian home in Chalk Hill, PA. We stayed two nights with our friend and her son. We all just loved the property. Met the owner Paul who stopped over the first day and made us feel more relaxed and welcomed. He said he was a phone call away in helping with anything and answering questions. Very friendly owner. The house was more then adequately stacked with extra towels, condiments, games, outdoor yard games, and books and magazines. The pool was awesome and the 2nd day we really took advantage of it with our kids as it was warmer and the pool was perfect. We also hiked the trail to the fire-pit which gave us an amazing view of the mountains. There was also plenty of firewood for our bonfire and the gas grill was newer and worked to perfection for our cookout on day 2. We had a wonderful time there and got to visit Fort Necessity which was great as we are History enthusiasts. It's an amazing property and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway with a party from 2-12 people.

Beautiful accommodating property
We had a wonderful time on this families property. It was clean, spacious, and on beautiful land. One of the co-owners Paul, came out to the property to make sure that we had everything that we needed, and that we were comfortable using everything. The house was furnished with anything that you can think of, which made our stay even better. The pool was refreshing, and a nice place to sit by to relax. The house was very close to everything that we had planned to do (white water rafting, hiking, restaurants, winery's, and Frank Lloyd Wright houses). We are all hoping to stay in this house in the future. It was lovely!! Thank you!!

Over all my experience was good. My group and I were not aware the pool was under construction when booking, with the hot weather we were looking forward to the relaxation. We also experienced an alarming number of ticks when walking around the property. We would have appreciated a warning. We loved the beautiful wrap around porch.

Charming House with Characteristics
We stayed for 3 nights and overall was a good stay. The house is full of treasures from times past. We enjoyed the discoveries of old periodicals and VCR tapes. The owners has kept the property in good shape. However, the radiated heating system makes a loud vibrating noise that woke me up every night. On the last day, house lost power for few hours due to weather, but that's out of the owner's control. They did offer a late check out as comp. Thank You for that. Also, there is extra Linen Fee on top of Cleaning Fee and for house that sleeps 12, there extra fee for more than 8 people.

Exactly as advertised, brilliant stay
Despite the fact that it rained every day of our stay, and we only used the pool once, I was absolutely thrilled with our mini-vacation here. So much room, all the amenities you could need, perfectly kitted out kitchen and the location, despite being only thirty miles away from an area I know well, offered loads of new things to discover. Please check out Kentuck Knob if you have any interest whatsoever in Frank Lloyd Wright, only six miles away!

Great place for a family vacation
The Victorian Orchard was an ideal place for our three generation family vacation. The house was roomy, the porches we're terrific, the kitchen very well equipped. And of course, we made full use of the awesome pool! The pool is very well maintained and kept very clean. The extra refrigerator was great for keeping drinks cold. The walk to the hilltop fire pit was more than worthwhile. The view is great. The orchard and grounds are a great place for walks and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay, and plan to return!

Weekend getaway
It was such an easy process from the beginning to the end! The communication was speedy and friendly, which is always so appreciated! The property was just as described and we felt it was very clean. It was roomier than we thought it would be and we loved that all the bedrooms were on the same floor except for one bedroom on the top floor but we didn't need to use it. We spent everyday in the incredible pool and loved walking around exploring the land! Absolutely loved the walk up to the plateau - the views were gorgeous! Only minor thing was I was surprised just how close the house is to the road but other than that we had an awesome weekend!

Great place for a peaceful get away
The description of the property was spot on. The location was great with a lot of things to do from golfing to biking to trap shooting. The owners were great to work with. You have to get to the upper fire pit - it is an amazing view. Should be aware that the place has mice and although the owner is trying to get rid of them - it is in the country and they are having a hard time. Recommend washing all pots and pans prior to using them.
