"Everything was good. Shower was old and dirty. But the place did the trick. The bed was nice and we were able to shower. We are local and had our water off which is why we got a hotel in the first place. "

"Great place, clean, friendly. Our shower head had a leak and made a huge mess on the floor. Mostly just makes me sad for the cleaning staff. There will be lots of wet towels on the floor for them to deal with. We will stay again."

"I love the historical history of this hotel. I know its hard times right now to keep up the property (its large) and too expensive to cool the whole building; but the rooms are very nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again, its a great value and not a long drive to the Galveston cruise terminal (about an hour). This is now my go to for a night before boarding."
