Cozy Barn Stay

The space was incredibly welcoming with really great decorative touches. It was spotless clean and had all of the amentities needed. The views were awesome too. Super close to West Glacier park entrance and a short drive into town for food and groceries. Loved the guide to Glacier and local hikes, it really helped plan out our days!

Open country paradise

We had a magical time staying at the Red Barn. Alyson was very accommodating responding to our inquiries about the Park and surrounding area. Everything we needed was provided for and the property was extremely clean, quiet, and serene. We would gladly stay again at this beautiful estate!

Beautiful mountain view

Everything about this property is outstanding. The owners provided everything you could possibly need plus fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. We enjoyed sitting on the deck every evening watching deer and turkey in the field. The last evening there were over 40 deer! It’s a perfect location to tour Glacier National Park….we highly recommend!!

PURE PERFECTION!

Our stay at the Red Barn in August 2023 was nothing short of perfection! From the decor, to the amenities, to the view (we loved the view) and the animals, it was amazing! We stayed for a week and there was nothing better to come back to after a long day of hiking and exploring than the beautiful mountains, the chickens, the horses, the deer, and the absolute serenity. We couldn't wait to get back to the barn and sit out on the deck each night. No need to watch TV, in fact, we never turned it on. You will NOT be disappointed with the Red Barn!!

Perfect View

We chose this rental for the view. It was fantastic. The mountains were beautiful, changing throughout the day, every day. The apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There were so many little touches that made our stay a pleasure. It was very quiet despite the close proximity to the owners home. We had fun watching the deer quickly cut through the property like they owned the place. There was a handsome horse next door. Our only regret is we didn’t have a chance to meet Charlie, who seemed like a wonderful dog.

Well appointed, well stocked, and location was GREAT!

This home was well appointed, well stocked, and well located! We have rented many homes on VRBO and this was one of our favorites! The owners have great pride in ownership which shows up in all the little extra touches. They left us a delicious jar of Huckleberry Jam as well as suggestions for "things to do" in the area. There was a very nice grocery store close by and it only took us 15 - 20 minutes to get to the west entrance to Glacier National Park. We ate breakfast at the home, packed picnic lunches, and then found "local flare" restaurants for dinner. The scenery from the back deck is beautiful and full of wildlife. We would highly recommend this home to anyone coming to Glacier National Park. (From our experience, the cities on the west side of Glacier have much more to offer than the east side.) We are a group of 4 retired adults enjoying another fall vacation together. This home was perfect for us. It's not a big place, but we didn't need big! The owner stopped in to make sure we were settled and figured out the TV for us. His daughters and dog, Cedar were also there with him. They live right next-door, so if we'd had any problems they were right there to help us, however, we had no issues with the house. Thank you for renting through VRBO!

This is a beautiful property that is a perfect distance from GNP. Even though it is next to the owner's property it still felt extremely private. Our 10 year old loved watching the deer from the deck. Everything you need is provided and the washer and dryer are ideal after a day of hiking. Alyson was easy to communicate with and sent all instructions in a timely fashion.

Wonderful stay on a beautiful farm!

We had a terrific stay at Alyson's place in Columbia Falls - it was our first visit to Montana, and we fell in love! The location is great for exploring the west side of Glacier - we spent every day in the park, and it was super easy to get to (even early in the morning). Alyson and her family were gracious hosts, and the place was perfectly appointed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was our families second trip to glacier national park, our favorite vacation spot. The Red Barn was perfect. Close proximity to park. Comfortable home with great view. Well equipped kitchen. Clean and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.

As close to perfect as it gets

We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this one surpasses them all! The location is absolutely stunning and can't be beat. The views were dreamy and being away from everyone and everything was amazing. Inside the loft or out on the deck, you feel like you're at home. Everything is tastefully decorated in a way that celebrates the area but isn't overdone. The beds are comfortable and pretty much every detail is anticipated. The kitchen is so well stocked which is very appreciated as we prefer to eat most of our meals "in". There are beautiful books about Montana and Glacier NP and we made good use of the guide books to hiking and area activities. A generous basket of kiss's toys kept our little one happy! Alyson was a wonderful hostess. Very communicative when we needed her, and she and her family were friendly with us and our daughter. We enjoyed some fresh eggs and homemade jam from their farm! The only issue we had was a struggle getting the door open on arrival because it needs some jiggling for the lock to latch/unlatch - a warning about that would have been nice but thankfully Alyson was right there to help! We were sad to leave and can't wait to return. When we do, we know exactly where we will stay.

Glacier Get Away

Loved The Red Barn

My family and I had an amazing stay at The Red Barn. The home was located at the bottom of the mountains with a beautiful view from the back deck. Property is located in between Kalispell, Whitefish and Columbia Falls with easy access to all including Glacier National Park. The home was so well thought out down to the relaxing pillow spray next to the bed! We ordered fresh sausage, eggs and honey for breakfast and felt right at home. So glad we stayed there and would highly recommend. Just perfect!

Perfect GNP base camp

We stayed at the Red Barn for 4 days while visiting Glacier National Park. We could not have picked a better place to stay! The accommodations were very comfortable and clean and the expansive deck was perfect for watching the deer in the evenings and stargazing at night. It was an easy drive over to Glacier and the perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking.

spectacular view

This was one of the cleanest stays we've had and the photos are accurate. I would note that this is not a completely private setting, as it is on the owner's property, and you can see and hear neighbors as well as homeowners going about their lives. All keep to themselves, but if you are looking for isolated, this wouldn't be it. And the view is fabulous! We had two primary concerns. The first was no AC and it was stifling hot in the barn. I had asked about this prior to our visit and was assured it wasn't an issue in MT with the mountain breeze. We had three fans going and were still very uncomfortable. The second issue was communication was poor. We had to send 2-3 messages before getting a response, and even then, questions were not answered. We never got a response through VRBO past the initial booking, texting was better, but that # wasn't available until the code was sent for the door. Looking at the guest book, it appears prior guests had much more interaction and attention from the hosts. We went for our 25th anniversary, but did not receive the same attention, or really any for that matter, as others for similar events. The home page lists items available for use in the kitchen, including flour and pancake mix, and while we were counting on these staples being there, they were nowhere to be found. Again, the view and cleanliness were amazing, the bed comfortable, but I probably would not return during the summer given how stifling it was.

This adorable barn loft was amazing. It was as described on website but better. Alyson made our home away a perfect place to stay. We would highly recommend and hope to stay again sometime.
