The only item I was unhappy was I tried to request upgrade to business class (for the second sector, Jeddah to Kuala Lumpur) at the beginning port of my journey at Amman, Jordan. I was told by the service desk that it can only be requested at Jeddah. When we got to Jeddah, they said I should have requested in Amman because I was in the transit lounge and not outside, In the usual check-in/departure desk. Then I tried asking the cabin crew, once I was inside the aircraft. They told me they don't have the authority to do any upgrades except by the ground staff. This I believe was a very poor show and inflexibility by the airline's policy. I knew that the business class was not full, so the cabin crew should have been given the necessary authority, so it would have been a win-win situation for both the airline and myself - as it was, the plane still flew with the same amount of people, no less, no more when it could have made money giving me the upgrade.
