Room was clean but had a damp smell the first day. With a little personal housecleaning smell no longer exists. We were offered another room. Because of the breath taken view, we kept the same room. Staff, was extremely friendly and always greeted us with a smile, with the exception of a few. However everyone is entitled to an off day. We did not utilize the swim up bar, but it was always full. Balcony amazing, but needed a light bulb. Minor improvements needed, but will definitely return!

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The staff were courteous and helpful. The Jamaican breakfast was delicious. The air conditioning along with the fan worked well. Good running water in the shower. The grounds were well kept. I have absolutely no complaints. When I saw the hotel rating I was curious as to how this older hotel has such an excellent rating (9/1 0). There was nothing here that could be considered modern except for their brilliant idea to use solar panels as covering for the car park. What makes this hotel a winner, I believe, is the quiet, laid back, relaxing atmosphere (old charm) away from the crowds associated with large all-inclusive resorts.
