French Alps Kid friendly Vacations

AVOID: Did not have hot water in the shower for several days. Spoke to the front desk four times (to Manon and Natasha); each time, they told me they were aware of the problem, that a technician had come, and that the problem was fixed. We stayed in Chamonix because my husband ran the UTMB marathon: when he finished the marathon, he had a cold shower and shivered for hours. Hot water is a basic requirement of any hotel, and the problem was not fixed until the last morning of our stay. At check-out, I asked for a partial refund due to the persistent problem; the receptionist told me to send an email. I did so: no response at all from management. Unprofessional. Furthermore, the room was outdated and unclean (hair in bathroom, bed). One of our worst hotel experiences worldwide. Chamonix is beautiful — but stay elsewhere!

Wonderful stay in a brilliant location. Great walks nearby and some lovely touches throughout the hotel. Will be back!

Our 3 night stay was fabulous. Very comfy bed, good linen, great water pressure in the shower, spacious room opening onto a balcony so plenty of fresh air when we wanted it, clean and well maintained. Meri at Reception was so friendly and helpful, she gave us lots of tips re restaurants. We ate onsite one evening, delicious!! We’d come back!
