Southern Oregon Kid friendly Vacations

Very vintage out of date rooms. All needs a face-lift. Trash along river bank from hotel balconies. Sliding door was old and hard to use. Front desk associate was not friendly, but she was efficient. Soap provided smelled weird and made us itch. Noise from room above made it difficult to sleep. The pillows were way too small. Carpet in room was dated and needs replacement. Many homeless people in the area made us weary of parking our vehicle.

Our room was great, a one bedroom with a king sized bed and a separate kitchen and living area, clean and newly renovated. Plenty of room to host a pre-dinner happy hour with friends. It is within walking distance of the Oregon Shakespeare theaters and downtown. The continental breakfast was fine with gluten free options.

We enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel in Rogue River. Our room was called the river front cabin, but more likely creek front since we couldn’t see the river from our cabin. Even though, it was a really nice property and very peaceful. Evening reception was excellent. They had nice vegetable dips, fruits, and delicious curry. They also served wine, and beer which were not free, but very reasonably priced. Breakfast was also good, too. We would definitely consider this hotel to stay if we have a chance to spend a night in the area.
