Beautiful hotel with wonderful hospitality We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Algilà Ortigia Charme. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The hotel is full of Sicilian character and charm, and its location in Ortigia was perfect for exploring on foot. Our room was comfortable and beautifully suited to the character of the hotel, and the staff were always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. After travelling throughout Sicily for two weeks, what stood out most was the genuine hospitality. We felt like valued guests, not just another reservation. Algilà was exactly what we hoped for from a Sicilian hotel — charming, personal and welcoming. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ortigia!

Cold breakfast food. Bad smell in lobby. Cold in lobby. Kitchen staff disorganized. Tiny shower. Terrible soap dispenser. Overall very mediocre and not inexpensive

Property is well located and staff was really helpful. If going in a rental, make sure you call ahead of time to register the car with the city and have a parking spot in one of the nearby garages. Parking is definitely scarce in Ortigia. The images from the hotel show a gym, that is a bit misleading.
