The staff were friendly. The room was clean, but looking very dated and old. It is in desperate need of an update

We were surprised to find an towel hanging behind the bathroom door on arrival, assuming it was an used towel from previous guests. We were disappointed to find the lotion bottle was nearly empty. Lastly the area where the glass sliding door connecting to the shower had some black spots, not something one would expect from a 5 star hotel.

Christopher had the best customer service ever and a great boat driver as well! Breakfast was good in the main restaurant. Our only complaint was the pizza from the pub was like a child's pizza. It was not good at all. Everything else was excellent.

Oak Bay Beach Hotel is a bit of a gem. The property is gorgeous, the mineral pools are amazing, the food was great and the overall vibe is exactly what you want for a getaway. The staff were also a standout. Alejandria by the pool in the evenings was fantastic, and the two guys who helped us with our luggage and bikes were so friendly and helpful. Service like that never goes unnoticed. Housekeeping was the one odd part of our stay. Our room was missed one day, so I called to have it serviced. We came back to fresh towels and a made bed, but the bed was made in the most bizarre way. 😂 It had been made normally the first night, but this time the duvet was folded into two separate halves down the middle. Photos included because this one is hard to explain! We travel enough to know this definitely isn't the norm, so I’m assuming it was just a one-off. Overall though, we loved Oak Bay Beach Hotel and would absolutely return. Gorgeous location, great food, lovely staff and such a good atmosphere.

Located in downtown on waterfront and has a beautiful garden out front. The street out front is noisy with traffic and partiers at night. They do have complimentary earplugs in the bathroom. Close to tourist attractions and restaurants. It would have been much better if they had some sort of breakfast room. Even just coffee , tea, yogurt and muffins. Room had bar fridge but no microwave. We thought the room cost was high for what we got.
