This hotel is a gem hidden..by tourists. If you like quieter area and experience the hospitality of Korean culture, this part of town is awesome. There are many great restaurants and bars you can go to, KTX is very close to the hotel.. about 10min walk. Kudos to the employees in this hotel, everyone was absolutely amazing, especially the front desk. They go beyond the expectations. Very friendly and welcoming, they truly are great at what they do.

Sejong Hotel is very conveniently located in Myeongdong, which was probably the best part of our stay. It is easy to get around Seoul from here, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and other things nearby. The hotel itself, however, feels quite old and dated. The rooms and common areas could use a significant refresh, and at least one of the elevators was not working during our stay. Breakfast was also not included with our booking. Check-in is largely self-service using a computer, although the staff we interacted with were helpful and pleasant when we needed them. There were also ongoing labor protests outside the hotel during our stay relating to former hotel workers. I don’t know enough about the dispute to comment on the underlying issues, but as a guest the protests were noticeable and a little uncomfortable. Overall, the location is excellent, but the hotel is showing its age. It probably was a very nice hotel in its day, but today I think there are likely better and more modern options around Myeongdong. I would choose it primarily for the location rather than the hotel experience itself.

What a beautiful place! It has everything you'd hope for in a modern apartment. The lighting system is especially impressive once you figure out the controls—it really adds to the experience. The host was incredibly communicative and always easy to reach whenever we needed help. I accidentally triggered the security alarm and needed a password to disable it. I messaged the host through KakaoTalk and received the password almost immediately—sorry about that! 😄 The complimentary limousine service between the airport and the property was a fantastic convenience. It was smooth, efficient, and very easy to use by simply following the host's instructions. We also appreciated the welcome snacks, cereal, and drinks, which were perfect after a long international flight. The location is excellent and close to everything Gangnam has to offer. The nearest subway station is less than a 10-minute walk away, which we found very manageable. One tip for future guests: keep the property's address handy. Since it's not a commercial hotel, Uber and Naver Map occasionally had trouble finding the exact location. Overall, this was a wonderful place to come back to after long days of exploring Seoul. It was comfortable, quiet, and beautifully designed. Most importantly, we always felt that help was just a message away thanks to the attentive and responsive host. We would gladly stay here again.

Great hotel! Very friendly staff and great luggage storage. The rooms were clean and we had a great view of Namsan Tower that really set the tone for our mornings and nights of being in Seoul.

Séjour en général agréable. L'hôtel est bien situé. La chambre est un peu petite, la salle de bains aurait besoin de rénovations, le rideau de douche en plastique est douteux et il y a peu de place pour déposer les effets personnels. Le personnel est courtois et le petit déjeuner est très bien.

Apparently there is talk of this place closing down. Pool isn’t in operation and looks like it hasn’t been for some time. A few dead cactuses dotted around in pots near the cafe and breakfast room. Breakfast was good and a very handy CU convenience store in the foyer. About AU$12 for a k.ride to Hongdae.

Spotless room and welcoming staff! Unbeatable location!

Very good hotel!.. a little out of the main attractions but it was nice to be in a more quiet place alway from all the tourists. I would stay here again on my next trip to Seoul

I stayed here for 8-7 nights. It was great. The location was great for first timers, not realising how big myeongdong was, it was 15mins walk from the biggest olive young! And the food markets. The metro was 5mins walk to other parts in Seoul. There was some construction outside the hotel which did not bother me, if you go to dubai often there’s construction everywhere you go. There are lot of food spots and cafes everywhere close by. The hotel it self had a roof top perfect for evenings, it had an indoor golf game, gym and a e-mart even though a CU opposite the hotel. There are also restaurants located on the ground floor. The rooms were nice and modern. You are given all the amenities and house keeping if you are wanting it. All the staff including the cleaners are so lovely and helpful. If you order food (takeout) you order it to the lobby and it’s placed in the takeout section on the table. If your room has a balcony depending where you’re facing, mine was looking towards the city, the mountains on the right and namsan tower on the left. I would definitely stay here again.
