Newport Scuba Diving Vacations

We have stayed at the hotel before great location but that is about all. The towels are not changed you need to request for service. I am a none smoker and they placed me in a room with the air condition getting the external air from the smoking area infront of the hotel. The room smelled like smoke and the front desk staff did not care or wanted to move us. We were told to use air sprays which they did not provide. Worst service would not return to the hotel. They care about accommodation for the smoking staff and construction workers to have a place infront of the lobby than taking care of their guests.

One day of our 3 night stay, they didn’t make up our room. We called about it, and were given several excuses as to why it wasn’t done. She should have just said, “we’re sorry we’ll send someone right up,”and we would have been fine. Did not need the excuses, they only made us mad. The room was cleaned promptly however. Other than that hiccup, it was a fabulous stay. Loved everything about this hotel!

The location of the hotel was excellent. So many of the city’s top highlights were well within walking distance. It was only a quick two-block stroll to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and just a couple of blocks uphill to the Citadel. We enjoyed eating at the Cannery on-site, which served good food throughout our stay. The pool was a total hit, and our daughter loved spending time in it. Overall, it made for a fantastic, comfortable base for exploring Halifax!

Fantastic hotel…worth the price.

It was an amazing building, very well decorated & very vintage. But with an old building comes old building problems.. One switch on the mural light beside the bed wasn't working, so we needed to get up and light the whole room. Also, the wall was moving when we tried to push on the switch???? The internet was very VERY poor quality. If you think about scrolling on the internet during your evening, get ready to use a lot of your 5G (or whatever thing you have). They have google cast in the rooms, that's really cool! Would be even better if they were working. Since the wifi is so poor, they disconnect out of the blue or they just don't connect to you phone at all (if there's another person in this 8 floors hotel who's using the wifi, so every time.) the 2 nights i tried to use it, it took 1h and second night 2h to connect. Plan to use it after 23:30 for it to work properly. Pillows were big and really hard too. There was air conditioning, but you can't use it. It turns on and off anytime & you can't keep it on, put it colder/warmer or even turn it off. If you want something vintage & downtown, that's the place! But don't expect anything modern to work well.

Perfect place very relaxing and peaceful! 5 stars for me! Will definitely be back next time! I appreciate Sandy for making this possible for me!

Wonderful location, staff is beyond kind, restaurant there has great cocktails.

Beautiful property, definitely would recommend.

Location was excellent in terms of getting to the boardwalk. The property is in great condition with parking close by. The staff we interacted with were all friendly and courteous. The breakfast in the morning was varied and excellent. I would highly recommend!
