This was our second time of staying here and again was not disappointed it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The only issue was the mattress we feel a new one would be beneficial due to wear

Bernadette at the reception was very helpful and professional. Even the staff in the carpark as well as the male staff doing the maintenance at the lift lobby were very friendly. The bathroom was sparkling clean, no complaints at all.

The Landlord Adam and his staff were very helpful and friendly. The pub food was excellent. We had a great time and looking forward to spending time there again.

Great location

When we arrived at the hotel-initial impressions were mixed. But, staff were very efficient and helpful. Our room was spacious with a view of the gardens. The shower was over the bath which is a negative for us but we were advised that a renewal project is in place to provide walk in showers. Both the cafe and the restaurant food were good. The pool and jacuzzi were out of service during our stay which was disappointing. Overall we would go back. Should also mention the stunning water feature outside.

We loved our stay - property was clean and in good condition, and walkable to everything we wanted to do. Would stay here again. Pro tip - there’s a coffee shop run out of a church about a block away. Hours are atypical, but great coffee and the nicest people on planet earth!!!

**Disappointing anniversary stay** We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms. Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room. Although the hotel has confirmed this was the Deluxe category we booked, the room itself was very disappointing. It felt clinical rather than luxurious, with a small window and glass door that were both completely frosted, meaning there was no outside view. The accessible bathroom also had a very different layout and feel from what we had anticipated. The hotel was fully booked, so we were unable to change rooms. As this was meant to be a special anniversary treat, we were sufficiently disappointed that we checked out at 7.30am the following morning. The hotel has since explained that the room met the Deluxe category specification. While we accept this, it doesn't change our experience of the room or the fact that our stay was cut short. On a positive note, our meal in Blok was excellent and the restaurant staff were wonderful. Overall, a disappointing accommodation experience which unfortunately overshadowed what should have been a special anniversary stay.

Great Hotel, great views and food excellent

The Three Cocks Hotel was an interesting facility. We arrived at about 6:50 pm, 10 minutes before end of check-in, but there was a note on the counter with the room key for self checkin. Odd process with nobody at the desk, the key to the room left out and no form of security at the front door. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet, which we appreciated. A very rustic hotel, with very uneven floors, sagged support beams, rickety wooden front door and door upstairs. Breakfast was ok, but very over priced given that they had far fewer options than were provided at all of our other stays at B&Bs and Inns. When we booked, the information describing the hotel included a claim about a restaurant next door. When we arrived, we found that the restaurant was closed and has been for a long time. It also appeared that the hotel owners also owned the restaurant, so the information should have been updated immediately.

Lovely building, lovely staff, but sadly in need of updating. Bedroom layout very inconvenient and not very clean. Food and service very good.

The breakfast was absolutely delightful. Every morning we looked forward to a tasty, freshly cooked meal. The bed was comfortable, and we were upgraded to a super king bed which was absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend this hotel!
