Weekend getaways in Vik I Myrdal

Super convenient location, extremely clean, and had all the amenities we could think of. Loved my stay here!

Loved my stay. I was only there for the weekend but its close enough to things I wanted to see on the southern coast of Iceland. Would definitely stay here in the future.

We stayed for two nights, and it was luxurious while also comfortable! Situated below the picturesque church and across from gas, hot dogs, a pub, and our ice cave meeting point, it couldn’t have been more convenient!

Hotel Kria was a perfect place to stay on the southern coast of Iceland. It was a cozy and welcoming environment with very nice room accommodations. This cute, small hotel is easy to find, close enough to Vik to make a quick trip into town easy (wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have a car). Very close to Reynisfara beach which is beautiful. The hotel itself is clean, room was large (fit 3 of us easily), bathroom and shower were great, and breakfast was simple, but delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This place is super nice and modern, very clean and nice facilities. There is also a bar offering food (pizza, wings, etc) for relatively cheap compared to the rest of iceland. The place is right by reynesfjara beach so it is a perfect location close to vik. Loved it here.

This is the kind of place that perfectly fit the environment of my travels. The cottage was exactly as pictured in the Expedia profile. Very private and close to the sites I was exploring on that section of my trip. The view, looking out the front window, is picture worthy. The unit is very clean. Our stay here was very good. Great breakfast. No real issues but be aware the Expedia listing says black sand beach is a 1 minute walk but was actually a 10-15 minute drive.

Absolutely lovely. Comfy beds. Rooms are gorgeous. Well worth the price. Thank you! Fruit advertised at breakfast was only a fruit cocktail so that was a bit disappointing but overall this place was amazing. Would def stay again.

Super easy to check in. Beautiful view outside. We sat outside our first night just to view all the amazing stars! Great location! Right next to the town for restaurants and also near the attractions we came for. All amenities were here. I would definitely recommend this place.

It was on a cute farm in the beautiful South Coast countryside. I was able to see the Northern Lights clearly from the property in Mid-August!

My husband, daughter (20), and I stayed at The Garage for 2 nights (April 30-May 2). This is one of my favorite places we have ever stayed! If you plan to stay overnight in south Iceland do not miss this gem. The location is close to all the sights and activities, but the Garage is so comfortable and charming you might not want to leave the property! This is one of those hotels that you will want to stay forever. The location is unique, where you will have not matter which room an amazing view. I think the mountains views are the best! The service always impeccable. Rooms are spacious, not too much closets tho, but very modern. Breakfast was the best!!! Hrifunes Nature Park is special for many reasons. For starters, the house we stayed in was modern, clean and beautiful. It was a perfect and peaceful place to stay in hopes of catching the Northern Lights. Additionally, the host who runs Hrifunes was truly the kindest person we encountered on our trip. We really like the security code system used to enter and leave our room. The manager and staff were super helpful. Our room was impeccably clean. The close proximity to the spectacular waterfall made this an amazing experience. We were also close to the restaurants in Vic and found one that was excellent and just 15 min from the hotel.
