The hotel was clean and shiny with beautiful wall tiles. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very complete and flavorful. Great hotel!

Great central location with newly updated modern rooms and big bathroom. About a 10 minute walk to train station and a 10 minute walk to the ferries that take you to Capri, Positano, Amalfi, and Napoli. We were very happy with our stay!

This is a spectacular boutique hotel! The views of the coastline and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms cannot be beat. This is 5-stars for the room views, the service, the updated exquisiteness of the décor, and the added amenities (pool, balconies, outdoor dining, access to oceanfront restaurants, etc. Don’t expect a Sheraton or Hilton type place….this isn’t that, and you shouldn’t be here looking for that here. The location was excellent, close to the lift you can take up from the port if you’re coming by boat. Close to lots of restaurants and a great view of the sea and port. We were upgraded to a king room with the largest shower I have ever seen in Italy. The front desk staff was super friendly. Daily happy hour and breakfast were wonderful perks. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice hotel. Great location, very clean, and the staff were helpful. The But…The only downside was the discotheque club located beneath the hotel. Opened at 11pm until 3am. The music bass was very noticeable. Have to imagine all low floor hotel rooms hear and feel this. The three of our phones sound apps were on high volume to try to washout music.

Very nice apartment with a fantastic view. Safe and walkable area with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Train/Bus station is a few minutes walk is all. Taxi stand right up the street in the town center. King bed was comfortable. One night of my 3 i had a very noisy neighbor and i could hear everything at all hours. The 2 nights later were very quiet. Kitchenette, hair dryer, and kettle provided as well as towels. Hostess was very nice and communicative. Use WhatsApp, very easy communications....

This was our first visit to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful with a great full breakfast. Room was spacious, staff was friendly & the housekeepers sweet. We had dinner twice in the rooftop dinning room overlooking the bay. The sunset was amazing. The waitstaff friendly , the food five star. We also danced to the music which made it very romantic. The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. It is a physically pleasing site and is close to all the shops and restaurants in the main area of Sorrento. We were there for 8 days and could have stayed longer. The path winding through the cliffs to the small bar and lounge chairs along the water is very unique. Very small wading pool on upper terrace. Classic double room was small and non-descript. Disappointed with the size of balcony and the sea view from room!

We were so impressed with our room and the staff. I do want to say that it is on the 3rd floor and they do not have an elevator. The staff will carry your bags up and down for you, but there are a lot of steps to go up (68). I would say if you can't do steps it would be a problem. every one there was excellent, great service and the hotel is beautiful and charming. a lot of place to eat and the beach is right down the street. You have to pay for chairs but you can stay on the board walk sunbathing for free. the pool at the hotel is quiet but beautiful and really well maintain. Very pretty Hotel, will recommend it.

I absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed there several times and wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. The location is so convenient to the square and right in the middle of al the activity. The rooms are beautiful and breakfast is always delicious. Mario does a wonderful job making sure everyone has anything they want for breakfast.

What a lovely experience in Sorrento. This property is located right next to the church bells in the Main Street city center. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We missed our connecting flight and they were very helpful in guiding us to the property and assured us that everything was ok. Our room faced the main shopping area which was very convenient. Great location less than a block from the main plaza. Our room was right next to the elevator and we never heard a sound. Only a few blocks to the train station and bus stops. Many great restaurants nearby. Best breakfast buffet in our whole 26 days in Italy. Left a jacket and they had it sent to our next hotel on Capri for a minimal charge.
