Horrible

Checked in at 1030 pm after a long drive ot to find the ac didn't work and the shower went from 30-65 degrees. When I called down the lady gave me a hard time. No I don't want someone to come check it after my long drive at 12 in the morning. I want a new room or a refund. After this we finay got moved into a new room that smelt of dead fish. We had no choice but to stay and sleep with the balcony door wide open as we were both too tired to drive anywhere else

Some rooms were somewhat outdated, but overall this Hotel had a great view of the beach from every room and had a great location close by restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly

Pros: The location and the view
Cons: nicer staff-especially the front desk, new carpet, cleaner rooms, better restaurant facility, better staff all around, better cleaning daily staff
Location: It was located across from a grocery store, liquor store and within walking distance of restaurants and other stores great beach access
this hotel looks good from the outside but wait till you see the inside. We had booked a suite with a king bed and when we checked in we had two double beds with queen sheets that didnt even fit. The carpet was so filthy that we had to wear shoes all the time and their idea of cleaning every day was to take a broom (yes not a vacuum) and sweep it out over the balcony. It did have a great view, but the noise factor was another thing, we didn't get much sleep due to it and even had to contact the front desk because of it. Then, due to a misunderstanding my daughter drove 4 1/2 hours to visit me ( I am from Ohio ) and she brought her deaf and blind dog with her who doesnt even bark and it says no pets, but I offered a non refundable deposit for a two day stay and was denied even though they allow service dogs ( ten x this dog's size) to stay there I had to pay an additional $491 for her to stay at another hotel. The small diner is filthy and only has a limited staff and you can only get breakfast there and the tiki hut has a bunch of good old boys who hang around there giving it a bad vibe for people, but the food is good if you can get past the dirt and such. I had wanted to stay there since I visited the area over 10 years ago, but was so disappointed that i would never recommend it and the other guests I spoke to at the pool felt the same way. This place was way over priced and a real disappointment for me.

Perfect location.

Cons: It could really use some updating in room furnishings.
Location: Just south of the boardwalk area....about midway between that and Ponce Inlet Lighthouse.
My one requirement was to have a private, oceanfront balcony. Surprising how many hotels don't have that. When I found this one, I booked it immediately, especially with the free day when you paid for 3. It's not a new hotel, nor does it have new furnishings, but it was clean and the staff was very nice. It wasn't crowded, but they were getting ready for the upcoming race fans/bike week/spring break crowds so the pool was closed most of the time we were there. That didn't really matter to us....the weather was too chilly for that anyway. The location was what was fantastic (besides the sound of the waves). It's about midway between the boardwalk area and the Lighthouse. Lots of nice little restaurants, shopping and miniature golf. Enjoy!

Needs updating

Location: The Congo River Mini golf is fun.
The hotel is right on the beach and the view is wonderful. However, the high speed internet continually cut out, which made it impossible to conduct my business there. The cell service was low and again effected my business. The pool was under renovations, something that they clearly knew when I booked and didn't tell me. The front desk staff were cold and uncaring, to us and another couple who were also with us. Towels were threadbare and scratchy. Overall ok if you're on spring break and sharing the room, but for business and families...I'd go somewhere else.

Disappointing

First when I checked in the receptionist wanted to see my credit card I origninally put the $84 deposit on. I booked the hotel weeks ago and my account was compromised and they sent me a new card. I told her that happened and that i wanted to put the remeianing balance on a different account but she said because the card was not present they would have to credit back the $84 (closed account) and charge the entire booking on my other card. She was very rude. Not a good impression. Once we got to our room on the 5th floor the door was not shut and was open to our room. We believed the house cleaning staff was posisbly still cleaning but they were not their. Three days later we came back from our day out in Daytona to find our door open again and not shut. The cleaning staff had came to take trash but never shut the door the entire way. We had cameras out, laptop out and luckily nothing was stolen. The front desk said they would let the house cleaning staff. The water for showers were terrible. Every time any of us would take a shower we would get scalded by hot water all the time. There was NEVER an enjoyable slower. Our TV volumn was never correct and woudl shoot up really high and then drop down really low that you coudl not hear the TV at all. I brought that up to the front desk as well. We could not enjoy our evenings in the room. The cleaning staff did not make the beds daily. They took trash. Not a good vacation stay.

Location: Close to raceway, flea market, restaurants.
1st night room was poor, informed that we would be able to change to original room reservation the next day. 2nd room was very nice, noisy hall, sounds carried.

Beautiful beach scene but mediocre hotel.

The front desk clerk lost our reservation and was very rude. Then they gave us a room finally after and 1hr and a 1/2 wait. View was beautiful. Room was clean. Bed was old, flat, and hard as a rock.

Pros: Close to where I visited. Close to a grocery store. Ocean view.
Cons: Repair / oiling of sliding glass doors.
Location: 15-20 minutes from Daytona Speedway and Volusia County Mall.
Spent 4 nights here. Seems to be an older hotel. Handle on door to bedroom balcony broke, was repaired, then broke again. There was another door to the balcony via the kitchenette / living area worked but was hard to open. Hotel is only a few blocks from a grocery store which is nice.
