"The Perfect Place for a Getaway...."
We found that not only the location perfect for our time in Florance but also the hotel. The staff was always helpful and polite. I could not fault the hotel and would go back again.

"Family run Hotel. Reception staff very helpful."
We spent a week at this hotel in Florence, which was very pleasant and away from the crowds. Comfortable walking shoes are required for the cobbled streets. Maybe a week's stay just in Florence would be to much, it's so easy to get to the railway station by local bus for 1.20 euros one way ticket. The number 23, A or B bus, stops across the road by the bridge from the hotel and is about a 15/20 minutes journey, different routes to the station. Bus tickets brought from the Tabac shop nearby to the hotel. NO tickets sold on buses. Validate your ticket in the machine on the bus. You can buy bus tickets from the kiosk outside the railway station. Take trains that go to Pisa about an hour away, and if you want a return train to Venice about 2 hours 30 minutes away, well worth the visit. The hotel reception staff will help you book your train fares or give you travel times. If you decide to buy your tickets inside the station you will need to take a ticket for the queue by the booking office. Taxis from the railway station back to the hotel cost around 10 euros, more if you have suitcases with you. There are other tours you can arrange at the hotel's reception desk. Plenty of museums, art galleries and buildings of interest in the old town of Florence.

"Nice Hotel very good staff"
The hotel is about 20 minutes walk through a pleasant park or a short bus ride to the main tourist sites. We prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of the town centers. The hotel has all the main facilities apart from evening meals. Breakfast was mainly continental ( no English fry up here). Staff were very pleasant and efficient (i'm sure they changed the bed linen every day). The only complaint was the noisy plumbing, you could hear every flush from both adjoining rooms. Overall a very pleasant stay.

"Lovely stay, a little out of the main centre"
We stayed at the NH Anglo American hotel in November 2014 for 3 nights. Our room was large, very clean, well serviced, and had a lovely window (although the view was to the street below and the back of a factory across the road). Unfortunately, as our apartment was at the far end of the hotel, the wifi connection wasn't great. It was, however, excellent when we were nearer the reception area, so the hotel need only add in a signal booster for the further parts of the hotel. The location was pretty good - close to the train station, and also only one block away from the river. Although it was a few blocks further away from the main centre of town than we would have liked. It was a very quite area, which was great, but it also lacked any atmosphere. The morning breakfast was great, with a large array of options. This was a lovely hotel, and ticked all the boxes, but next time I think I'll sty somewhere a little closer to where the action is!

"Clean, modern, friendly"
Just about everything was perfect with our stay. Initial check in included a thorough overview of the area, nearby facilities (including grocery), and best bus routes to and from downtown. The only potential downside to La Farina Apartments is that it's about a 20 minute walk to reach Florence's historic central sights. However, if you pick up a Firenze card for museum admission (highly recommended), you also get free use of city buses. With the aid of a smartphone, finding buses to save you some foot soreness becomes easy (as does navigating the streets to the center). The staff were lovely and assisted us with everything from summoning taxis to figuring out bus schedules for our next stop in Siena. Can't recommend highly enough.

"A great hotel as a base for seeing Florence."
This was a great hotel, well priced for staying in Florence. It was well situated near public transit so that one's own vehicle was not needed to see the inner city of Florence. The staff was very helpful in terms of telling which bus to use to come and go. There was a nice pool for guest use. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included in our price. It was a good, hot breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

"will do hotel.."
I would say our experience in this hotel in Florence would be so so... The highlight is, it close to city center. About 10-15 min walk from the train station which is good. Just about 1 block away from Academia (a museum that houses statue of David). You need to check in at a different hotel which is hotel Delfino just about 20mtrs away from Casa Micol or else you can't get in since there is no information desk. We got our room in the third floor which i don't mind since we can handle it. There is an elevator that is good for 1 person only, will carry 2 if your small. Going to the room, bed is not that comfortable, washroom is about 6x6 foot in size, has a sink, toilet and a shower. In my opinion, I am not really impressed with it. Furthermore, our room has a spiral stairs inside which looks like an attic?? I tried to check it out up stairs but there is nothing but full of dust. Sounds creepy at first but we got over it. I think we just got lucky we end up on that room that was in the end of the hall. Seems to be quite at night which is better so that you can have a descent sleep. All in all i would rate it 3/5? maybe 2.5 but because it is close to academia i would say 3. As they say you get what you payed for. Of all places in Italy I've been so far, Florence is the most expensive one. For sure Venice it would be but we stayed in Mestre to save a bit. Wrapping things up, I still didn't regret it, We only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and it is cheap. Enjoy your trip!!!
