Nice tiki bar, shame about the MosquitosPosted Jul 31, 2015
Looked old but everything worked. Had a nice meal in the tiki bar first night, but got covered in mosquito bites.

The maids asked for a tip. I told them to demo itPosted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: check out
The best thing to do for this dump is to demo it completely and then rebuild. window was broken out, screen had been torn up, shower tile was moldy and nasty, not cleaned up properly, paint scrapes through out.

Staff seems not to care about customers.Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: The rooms are dated but they charge as they were new and the restrooms are gross.
Location: Not a lot of things to do near by.
When we arrived with a room reservation they did not have a parking space for us, once we offer $20 to a security guard the parking space was "available" out of the blue. The front desk girl even try to get into an argument with us about that situation.Bartenders are so pale, they never smile or try to make you feel welcome or appreciated.

Terrible room. PLACE IN NEED OF MAJOR WORK...Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Beach area was nice .
Cons: Renovations . ....they need to start with the rooms
Location: We stayed for 3 days. We stayed at resort and really only left for meals
Rooms in need of renovations bad. The bathroom and shower was disgusting. Walls were dirty. Very run down place. Of course tiki hut and bathrooms on back of tiki hut where pool is .......well much better shape. I like the beach area. My kids enjoyed swimming and fishing. .

Bugs, loud and moldyPosted Jul 10, 2015
There was ants every where, on all the furniture and even on the bed. When we turned the water on it smelled awful, we had to use bottled water even to wash our hands. There was mold on the ceiling and all over the shower. We left at 4am in the morning because we couldn't take it anymore.

Old but coldPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: We didn't have to venture out at night for food, drinks and entertainment
Cons: Rooms are really in need of an upgrade! We were in the motel part. We could look out on the water, which was nice.
Location: We drove down to Islamarada and went to Theater of the Sea. Lots of restaurants in the area. If you are a boater, or want to rent jet skis-great area
Room was kind of dumpy and old. Dresser was missing drawers. No phone in room to call desk to say we had been given no towels.Bathrooms in need of a remodel. Tiles missing , toilet old and rusted. Both faucets had hot water. But the air conditioning felt great after coming back from an excursion with heatstroke. And the beds super comfy. The beach wasn't much-very rocky small area. But the keys are not known for beaches. Filled with local families all day, it appeared. Pool was a little funky looking.. Also local families,or people just not staying at the hotel.I heard one mom say to her kid they had no rooms for the night that night. But the tiki bar was great. The band was great, the drinks were great, appetizers from the bar were great.Really nice location for those who don't want to go too far down.

Quaint mini resort in Key LargoPosted May 25, 2015
The staff is super friendly from the security to the front desk. We had a rough night being stranded at sea the second night in the Keys and the staff was nice enough to offer us a late checkout. Rooms were comfy and AC was cold, right on the water and it's a fun spot where people from all over the keys come for a drink.
