“Wonderful and lovely experience”
We had an incredible location, the most incredible beach with real white sand as the snow and as soft as the powder sugar; even that was a little cold we had an incredible, restful time; people sorrounding where very nice , except for the front desk people who were not very friendly, they had a bad atitude probably because it was thanksgiving weekend, but i will defenetly go back; it is an incredible paradise. Tha bar tender at the lobby was very sweet and nice even that she was actually working by herself. The cleaning people were also very sweet.
“Very pleasant ????”
Everything was great except for the vacuum cleaner running for an hour in the halls about midnight. Yuck! Thanks for the lost sleep.
“Great hotel but could improve on service”
We went as a family of 4. I liked the hotel but the people at the front desk were barely nice. Then, when I asked that our sofa bed be made into a bed for the kids (I had made the request ahead of time but it was not done when we got there), they sent someone to bring me sheets...not what I asked. Later the people at the front desk directed us to the sushi bar but obviously did not know the hours of operation because it was closed...In spite of all that, the room was nice and a good size. The kids loved the 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. Of course being on the beach was great. I would go back.
“Great Escape”
We rented a king suite-- beautiful room, would be ideal for two small families vacationing together. Slept 6 people very comfortably with a king size master bedroom, a living room with sleeper sofa and a seperate are with 2 bunk beds. Our balcony view was perfect-- private yet scenic. We were there in June and our only issues were the outdoor accomodations. There weren't enough lawn chairs poolside and the pool and deck were so crowded with people and children that we kind of were reminded of being on a carnival cruise. Beach chairs were scarce and the hotel expected you to pay for lounge chairs on the beach, which is ridiculous considering how much you pay to stay at their hotel! Other than that, a beautiful place-- a great escape.
“Not Impressed with the level of service from a Hilton Hotel”
Everytime we talked with the Valet and Front Desk staff they acted like we were a interruption. They overcharged us our checking out costs twice, once we o\paid cash the second time via our debit card. We called to bring this to their attention and the accounting area was helpful, but she transferred us to the General Manager because of our complaints about the service, which we were told she would research our overcharge and call us right back, which she did not! We had a gift basket shipped to the hotel for our son and daughter in laws wedding night, we called to find out if the basket made it there and was told yes it was, which they were told to deliver to their room. When checking in the next day I asked about the basket/package and was told by my son they did not get it, so I went to the Valet station and asked if it was in their possesion, which was told they did not know but would reasearch and let us know, which they did not and we had to ask again and was told yes they found it. I asked where had it been and was told in the delivery bay which is in the weather elimates....This basket had, cheese, salami, & chocolates so when I opend the box the cheese was spolied, which we replaced before giving to our son. When we shipped the basket from Bellevue, Wa it was sent Fed Ex two day delivery. We are dissapointed in the level of service that a top rated hotel afforded and will not recommed nor stay at another Hilton!
“Perfect beach getaway”
The Hilton resort has everything you want for a great time at the beach. Beautiful area and relaxing hotel. There were lots of people there, but it did not feel crowded with so many different areas for everyone to enjoy the ocean views. We will definitely be back!
“The best hotel in Destin”
The hotel provided exceptional service, was very well maintained, and the majority of the staff was eager to please. There were so many conveniences that you would never have to leave the hotel if you didn't want to. The pictures and descriptions given online do not do it justice. I wish I was still there.
“Best hotel in Destin”
This is a such a beautiful resort. I consider myself as a "hotel snob", and was still impressed by this hotel and grounds. The resort offers plenty of activities, reasonably-priced restaurants, spacious and clean rooms over-looking the beach, and good customer service. Overall, this is an excellent choice for your next vacation!
“Service has Dropped”
Beautiful hotel/location but lousy service by staff. I shipped a box to avoid carrying an extra suitcase. Hotel staff didn't tell me when it arrived. When I called to check on Monday, I was told by staff they'd look into it and call me back. Still waiting for the call-back. Asked at the front desk on Tuesday and after checking they said it hadn't been delivered. Found out later on Tuesday it had been delivered at 9:44 a.m. Monday. The clincher was after denying on Monday they had my box, the hotel charged me a $10 "storage" fee for storing the box they denied they had. I left a note at the front desk for the hotel manager expressing concern about the hotel's poor staff work on this and asked for a response. Still waiting for the response from the hotel manager. Presumably he's behind because of the stack of similar concerns by guests about staffing issues. I won't even go into how many times I had to ask for a glass of water in a restaurant before I managed to get one (3 requests over 10 minutes). This was my 4th stay at the hotel and the service has plummetted over the years. One would think in a weak economy that good staff could be found . Wrong. Too bad that lousy service colored an otherwise beautiful property.
“Hilton at Sandestin a Must Go Place to Stay”
