"I have already submitted a review. Placencia is a beautiful unspoiled gem. The beaches are spectacular. Carol's Cabanas - Tarpon is located on the main st and very noisy into the wee hours. As it was very inexpensive my expectations were not high BUT it was clean, had 2 bedrooms, a kitchenette ( no oven) a screened porch and suitable bathroom facilities. "This is a very cool little cluster of cabanas and a bar/restaurant on a legit TINY island. The staff is great, the food is decent, and the snorkeling could be better, but overall it was a fun stay. We were the only ones staying on the island, which was pretty cool."

"Our stay was comfortable, with a good distance of walking to Lobster fest. Our room was pretty clean, provided all the amenities mentioned, and even soap and towels. There were some leftover, used things of soap that were still in the shower area from visitors past. It was hard to find our place at first, and even as I was sitting in my hammock one of the days, some visitors had to ask me to help them find their building. But overall, once we got settled it was a great spot to stay at."

"Cabin is very basic but has pretty much everything you need for light cooking. There are lounge chairs on the beach. You would definitely want to have some mode of transportation (we rented bikes from Captain Jacks). Seine Bight is about a mile away for groceries and Placencia is about a mile and a half. There is a restaurant (The Flying Pig) a short walk away but it’s not always open. The caretaker for the property is very helpful if you have any questions and lives close by."

"We always say, “Heaven just seems closer at the Beach.” Well you can’t get much closer to the beach than here. Everything was absolutely wonderful and “King Lewey” is a very entertaining, welcoming host. The staff was incredible with our every need or want cheerfully fulfilled.
