"This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "

"We had a such a lovely visit to the Mountain House with our group of 8. It was clean, spacious, and a perfect layout for our group of two families. The kids had so much fun exploring the yard, playing air hockey, and sleeping in the bunk room. The adults were extremely comfortable in the two bedrooms upstairs. The master is suite is incredible. The property exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely return."

"Apple's Chalet was a wonder place for us to stay for my wife's birthday. She wanted snow and she got it! We absolutely loved the charm, and really appreciated that everything was labeled. Lots of blankets for cold weather and all the floors heated up nicely. Plenty of room for the kids and adults to spread out. We asked for an extra day because of the snow and they even snow plowed the driveway so we could get out once it's stopped snowing. We want to come back in the spring or summer!"

"As it turned out, husband, teen grandson and I spent most of our stay at the cabin itself. My first impression upon entering was how absolutely warm and inviting it was. Our host had the gas fireplace going and even a nice bottle of wine waiting. One of the owners greeted us with homemade jam too! If we return to Pollock Pines, we'll definitely be booking this cabin."

"We enjoyed our romantic weekend getaway at Susan and Steve's cabin. The cabin is roomy, comfortable, and well appointed. The location is close to Jenkinson Lake at Sly Park, near a grocery store, and within easy reach of Placerville. We would definitely recommend this property to others! Thank you!"

"- There was a gas leak at the furnace requiring heater to be shut off - Hot tub water was green on our arrival - Lights in the outdoor bar weren’t working - Lighting on outdoor staircase werent working (we had to unload our suitcases down dark stairwell) - Owner was quick to respond but only partially addressed issues. He sent someone to clean hot tub but she came after dark and we never saw her. No one checked in with us to explain why water had been green or explain what was done to ensure...

"The cabin is just as pictured, cozy and inviting, perfectly comfortable for my family. Groceries is just 5 minutes away, Apple Hill 20 minutes and Sly Park just amazing also 5 minutes away. Christine was quick and responsive to any questions we had about the cabin and area. The cabin is very modern, everything digital so just need to be prepared to using your phone to unlock doors and such. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

"Beautiful, quiet and well equipped cabin perfect for 2 people. Host communication was awesome. Peaceful wildlife all around the property. Only issue for us was the very small, steep spiral staircase leading to loft was difficult to navigate. Crossing fingers they change so we can come back!!"
