"Off the beaten path, but worth the trip"
Small quiet coffee farm with 5 bedrooms. Lovely view of the mountain side and ocean. Quiet and cool at night. common kitchen area includes fridge, microwave, sink and coffee. It's about a 15 minute ride down into Kona from the farm, with a 2000 ft elevation differential. Morning breakfast is at 8. Hans and Marcia took great care to make sure gluten free breakfast options were available. Make sure you order the Ahi belly from Umeke's in Kona. You won't regret it!

"Quiet, private and feels like home."
My husband and I stayed at Tradewinds for three nights. We wish it could have been longer. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained with a view of both the mountains and the ocean. The owners are gracious, welcoming and eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The Traidewinds Suite is in the lower part of the owners home with a large room and a screened off area for the bedroom. There is a futon in the living room area with satellite TV. There are indoor and outdoor eating areas, a hammock, lounge chairs, a private hot tub, outdoor shower all for your use and not shared. Bev provides juices, ice tea, tea and coffee, granola bars, fresh fruit and cereal with almond milk for you to make your own breakfast. We bought eggs and bread and made them ourselves. We actually preferred being able to eat what and when we wanted rather than having the B & B having a prepared breakfast at a set time. There are free laundry facilities with all soap etc. supplied. This was a great deal as we had spent about $22 on laundromats earlier in the trip.
