"It is a fabulous resort. We cannot ask for more. Each cabins faces the lake. They have canoes, paddle boards, etc. They accept dogs which is great. The cabin was clean, spacious, quiet. The receptionist was excellent and fast."

"Cute and quaint, cozy little retreat in the woods. Lots of bird songs to hear, but note that sounds of nearby road are also noticeable. Enjoyed a few good movies as there is an interesting selection of dvds. It is perfectly relaxing; don't forget your bubblebath!"

"We booked this for our 20th anniversary. The guest house was just perfect. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was great and the view from the hot tub was amazing. It was very private. There are trails close by that go for miles.The town of Sooke is just 5 minutes away and had everything we needed. The hosts were kind and inviting. Their directions and suggestions were much appreciated. We went there to relax and disconnect. Mission accomplished! Though, if you are looking for more...

"Spent our first night and husband and wife. Was nice to get away from the city without having to drive too much. No frills basic stay. No light pollution on the night of Perseids meteor shower made for some romantic star gazing. Mongolian yurts were interesting to see! Thanks for a nice stay!"

"The cabin was perfect for our family of five. The weather didn't cooperate for us our first night but having a fire and cozying up on the couch was a perfect way to spend an evening. The highlight for my three young children was a family of sea otters playing right along the shoreline. The location is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay here."

"It was chilly and rainy when we arrived, Walter welcomed us with hot, home-made soup! He was readily available to answer questions. He even invited us to home-cooked breakfast one morning and it was beyond restaurant quality. The property felt cozy and private. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as observing visitors at the hummingbird feeder. Bus stop right by the driveway is a bonus! We will stay here again, without question :)"
