Best hotel I could have picked. Right on the beach with a great big heated outdoor pool.surw the next ghborhood is noisy but that the city, it's full of life! So many great food options, Andales, Cafe San Angel were my favorites. The staff was very friendly, cleaned the room to perfection. I will be coming back

Los Arcos is in the old part of Puerto Vallarta but it was so quaint and amazing. They had so much to do to see the staff was amazing. Miguel was our main server and he made our trip 100 times better. I can’t wait to go back. I didn’t wanna leave.

Enjoyed a week-long stay with my teenage son in April. I thought I had booked the all-inclusive plan with Expedia but when we checked in this was not the case. It should be clearer in the booking process. Our room was on the top floor, with a large patio, which was great. The furnishings and general state of the room was very dated. Part of the hotel has been upgraded but we were in the section that wasn't. Loved the beach setup and the variety of pools. Food at the buffet in the restaurant was very good and there was always lots of variety. Restaurant service was poor, and it was often difficult to get any table service once we were seated. The area around the hotel is vibrant and busy, with lots to see and do.

They are in the process of updating rooms, if you’re unfortunate to get an old room-it’s pretty dated and tired looking. The rooms that have been updated are nice! Location is key, lots of dining options within walking distance, an OXXO on the corner for snacks etc.. beach is nice.

Busy area. Lots to do and places to eat. Bar by the pool. Easy to walk the beach front promenade (malecon) north to the main action. Felt safe as it was quite busy with tourists. Lots to do and see on the way.

Absolutely fabulous location. Did not do the all inclusive and am happy with that choice as there are so many very good dining options within walking distance. Nice pool and beach area but honestly didn’t spend much time at resort. So much to do!felt a bit like the all inclusive fuests were preferred which is why I rated 3 stars for staff.

This was my 3rd time staying at Playa Los Arcos. The location of this hotel can not be beat. You are in the middle of everything and can walk everywhere. The hotel staff are friendly and they are constantly cleaning and fixing up the hotel. Despite hearing otherwise we LOVED the all inclusive. The breakfast here is amazing and they made some of the best French toast and pancakes that we have ever had. The only downside of our last trip was the room we were given. It was old, and smelled musty and the mattress felt like you were sleeping on a brick. We tried to have the room switched but unfortunately there were no other rooms available. But after the first night the old room sorta just became part of the ambiance of the hotel and we loved everything else so much that we were able to overlook the room and enjoy our stay.

This was our 5th trip to PV and our 3rd stay at Playa Los Arcos. It’s an older hotel with lots of charm and the Staff is super helpful. Great food onsite or feel safe to walk around outside the hotel for many dinning options. We will be be back to Playa as this hotel is our 1st choice in PV.

2 nd time at this hotel in 6 months. Planned to make this my new go to in PV. Likely won’t return Great location for my needs but nothing comfortable about staying here. 1st time was better. Beds are on their last days small and awful to sleep on. Room way too small for everything they pack in. No room for luggage even. Don’t use the all in option because you can’t eat the same thing every day. Never got a chair at the poolside bc towels have booked by 7 am 😡😡😡 not sure how to get a goo room here so likely will move on to another hotel. Disappointed cause I love the location

My adult family of 5 all loved this place! The food was excellent, the employees were friendly and offered great service. The location was perfect. We were there 7 days and did not have enough time to do we wished. Highly recommend.

Location, location, location. The location is the best. The shared facilities - lobby, pool, etc. are updated and lovely. The room we had was not updated at all - very tiny bathroom, wires from light hanging above the bathtub, too much big furniture for small room. Some rooms are updated, but I don't know how to tell which rooms that would be. We paid extra for an oceanfront room (#240) with large balcony; we could hear the ocean all night, which was lovely. Rooms could just use a little updating.

I have been to this resort many times. It’s been a couple of years since I have been here, I love the location. After this time I do not think I will be back. The beach has been divided up so there are only 2 small areas that hotel can use, and there were way more people looking for a piece of beach to sit on there there was beach. ( all three resorts). 2 Restaurants have 2 areas blocked off )And the Chair battle was awful! ! People standing in line waiting for chairs to be unlocked to get a chair for the beach. If you were lucky you might get one. As for the pool area nope you will not get a chair up there. I think the same people everyday must pay someone to set their stuff on chairs and tables as they bring them out in morning . The staff on the other hand are amazing. Adrien activity director. Great. Juan, Issac,chilla, Jonathan. David. Could not be better. Definitely not enough outdoor area after splitting up the beach for the rooftop restaurants.

Playa Los Arcos is a traditional hotel with great staff, a wonderful beachfront location and the amenities of a grand dame hotel in Old Town Vallarta. I would have rated it higher, but for its inability to provide the promised daily supply of bottled water, and the sometimes tepid hot water from the bathroom faucet.

This was my first time visiting puerto and I loved it. Hotel caters to family and elderly. Not a young people establishment. Everyone I spoke with was extremely kind and it is in a perfect location. Breakfast buffet was great. Next time I will probably pick an adults only property. Otherwise great hotel for what it is.
