DO NOT COME HERE (please)!
This is by far the worst holiday experience our family has ever had. We learned only after arriving that this is one of the oldest hotels in Puerto Vallarta and is a rebranded Holiday Inn. The present owners bought it 8 years ago, slapped a new sign on and tripled the price. 50 year old Holiday Inn quality @ all inclusive resort prices.
Food: practically inedible. It would be generous to call it prison food quality. The lack of sanitation, limited yet repetitive daily offerings, and presentation are way below what we've ever seen at any other resort. We had to spend almost $2,000 eating outside of the hotel due to the rancid and off-putting food and dining conditions.
Cleanliness: the main restaurant and only one that is open throughout the day is literally swarming with insects and bees. On the few occasions that we actually tried eating there, we (like those around us) were immediately accosted by bees and wasps which also immediately covered our food and drinks. It was very frustrating and disgusting. Although the cleanliness was somewhat better at the other restaurants and the food is nominally better, we received a plate of pasta with a big visible back hair as a garnish. All public areas, ashtrays and garbage cans are covered in used plastic cups that are just left there by employees walking by.
Genuinely repulsive and the service wasn't any better. Crumbling walls, peeling paint and murals, and the entire place leaks when it rains.
