This is our third time at the same hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful beach. We will come again, for sure.

Hotel was beautiful, the staff was excellent.Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: The rooms were nice and the staff
Cons: more things to do during the day and night, and a better casino.
Location: not much nearby and need more to do, it was for older people just relax is ok, but
We would like to see more entertainment and music all day on the beach, not much for young people to do, my granddaughter turned 21 years old on the 14th and she was a bit bored, need more english speakers there also, George one of the waiters at the restaurant was excellent

Nice Resort but some flawsPosted May 17, 2015
Pros: We ended up with a room with a beautiful view of the water and a small balcony to sit on for our morning coffee. I loved the 24 hour room service.
Cons: I would have liked the atmosphere of the restaurants on the resort to be a little more lively.
Location: The resort was about 30 minutes from the airport. We went on 2 excursions that were about 20 - 30 minutes from the resort.
We liked: Buffet was excellent, Palm trees for shade on the beach as opposed to tiki huts (we loved the natural look), Staff was very accommodating and nice. Drinks were always flowing. It was a wonderful relaxing vacation. We disliked: NO nightlife (outdoor bar closed at 11pm. You could walk to Pacha Discotheque on Caribbean Street which opened at 11 but you had to pay for drinks. Or you could take a bus to Coco Bongo off the resort but again would have to pay for drinks and transportation. The pool closed at 7pm so no night swimming. We paid for a king sized bed but got 2 full sized beds pushed together... with 2 full sized comforters. We asked for another room but they were unable to accommodate us until the following day.

Great family vacationPosted May 17, 2015
Riu is my favorite chain. Riu palace punta cana is one of the best. This time I noticed that hotel room needs some renovation . Bur it was spacious nice and clean. Air conditioning works fine but air in the room is still humid. I did not feel that way when I stayed at riu palace Bavaro. Food was excellent as always, huge verity and high quality.

RIU PALACEPosted May 16, 2015
Pros: Loved the way its setup just like a real palace and the foood is so good!!! alot of room and trees on beach for the shade.
Cons: Cant really say anything.
Location: who wants to leave? We went kayaking and it was free. took pictures saw the shows every night was so much fun.
This is the best hotel to stay at if you are looking for a very fun relaxing vacation. The staff works extremly hard to please everyone ans go the extra mile. you will not find this service at the other hotels in the area. The workers are the hardest working here and still smile and i am grateful for the service and the best food always fresh. by the way the enterainers are also so much fun, with dancing and pooll games.i will be coming back again and again.

Just averagePosted May 15, 2015
Front staff were great. The room was okay until day two when water started leaking from the bathroom ceiling. Air conditioner worked very well until day 3 when someone started staying in the room beside of us. The food was just average if not less than average. We made reservations to all of the reservation required restaurants. The only one that was worth it was Krystal. The pools were very nice as was the beach. It was very annoying being almost constantly harassed to buy something from vendors on the beach (sunglasses, jewelry, scuba sessions, coconuts, massages, etc). The beach waiters took care of drink needs as long as they were tipped. There was a serious lack of entertainment. I would not stay at this resort again. This was my second vacation to punta cana

Had a great time!Posted May 13, 2015
This was a perfect getaway for me and my friends! The staff was so nice and helpful. The only part that was a little disappointing was the restaurants. Didn't have many options and wasn't impressed with the ones they had. But definitely not a deal breaker! I would definitely return and will definitely continue using RIU.

Best place for vacationPosted May 11, 2015
Cons: Updated but no a big deal
Location: Beach, drinks eating, walking beach forever, shopping and meeting great people
Awesome beach, staff, food, drink and did I mention the food drink and staff. Place needs to be updated and will close next April for renovation. But I would continue to go back even if it wasn't updated. See you in 3 months PIU PALACE
