Pros: price, location, free parking, free wifi
Cons: Heating-room temp never got to to a comfortable temperature. Musty smell in the hallways and room.
Hotel appears only to have been upgraded when required.

Rooms smelled of smoke, no clean towels, toilet overflowed and the hotel staff said they didn't gave a mop and could not fix it until morning. Paid for a room with a king sized bed and got 2 doubles.

Dirty and disgusting.

Everything was dirty. I was afraid to touch anything. The only reason we stayed was it was the only hotel available.

good location, clean, free parking

Pros: location, free parking, outside patio with tables for coffee
Cons: new tv's, bedding
Location: good local
It was more than I expected for the great deal, nice front desk personal, okay room, could use updating, the outside patio with plants was a nice plus for having coffee. No coffee in room or in the lobby, just down on Van Ness, great coffee shop with food to go. Overall it was just fine.

Cons: Beds, but at the very least, better pillows and covers. Make sure heaters are working too.

We stayed in the standard Twin bed room. The beds were cheap spring beds, woke up every morning with a little back pain. Pillows extremely thin. You get 1 comforter, 1 rough on skin blanket, 1 sheet. Thankfully with touring San Francisco I was so tired and sore I could of slept on a rock - just happy to have a bed. Oh and the heater did not work - we we bared through it. Old small tube TV with a remote that was meant for another brand of TV, so it didn't work. I called office to see if they had another remote meant for the TV brand, but got no help from them - they said my remote should work when I just told them that it didn't. I politely said thanks and hung up - we just used the buttons on the TV. I only mention this portion so that you all can get an idea of their level of effort in being helpful.

The Oasis has deteriorated through the years. Per

Pros: Great location, the rooms are large, and the rates reasonable.
Location: The arts venues and the Opera Plaza are close at hand.
The Oasis in San Francisco could use some modernization. In particular, the elevator does not create a favorable introductory impression.

Close to downtown

It was a reasonable price for the (only) hotel with a free parking. It was very nice of the staff to let us leave the car parked in their garage after we checked out and used a public transportation to travel the city. They also recommended some good restaurants for breakfast. The room was very clean; unfortunately, the cleaning lady is not able to remove old stains from the carpet. It would be such a nice hotel, if they upgraded the carpets. I would recommend it anyway, if you just planning on sleeping through the night and enjoying the city! :)
