Not worth it

Our air conditioner didn’t work and it was very warm the weekend we stayed in Denver. Parking was not included in the hotel cost, neither was internet. The TV was actually pretty small and the setup of the room did not make it convenient to watch TV.

Great location and great value!

I was in denver for a one-day business trip and found the Hyatt Regency to really fit all my needs. The location was just a 2-minute walk from where I needed to be, the hotel was actually really easy to access through public transportation (the city bus from the airport and then the free 16th Street Mall shuttle, which runs every 2 minutes), the room was spacious and extremely modern and clean. There is also a very convenient store inside with light meals, drinks, magazines, etc... and one does not need to rely on pricey room service or delivery pizza to eat or drink something. All in all, this was a most positive experience.

If you have the time and are traveling light, bypass the taxi stand from the airport and take the F bus to the Market Street bus station. From there, take the free16th Street Mall shuttle to the California Street stop and you will be a short block away from the hotel. It should take you about an hour from the airport to the hotel. Taking a cab would be much more expensive and not that much shorter... But I realize not everyone would want to travel that way... I did it because I had the time and was only carrying a rolling suitcase that was very lightly packed.

Great Location

Enjoyed our stay very much.. Quite comfortable rooms that were very quiet considering all that was going on at and around the hotel.. Outstanding location.. Very centrally located in downtown Denver which was good considering our contention was that other than the rooms there was not much offered.. The restaurant, bar, shop, barista were a little lacking and we ventured elsewhere.. Will return again in the future.

Perfect for business travelling.. Location, access, etc.

Almost perfect

Everything was perfect, the only downside is the sad fact that they charge for the Internet. Come on Hyatt, I can stay in Travelodge and get free Wi-Fi nowadays.

Nice Hotel Close to Convention Center

We got the Regency Club package. I guess I was expecting more for the room. It really didn’t seem like anything more than a double. Breakfast was OK, nothing spectacular. Afternoon snacks were good. Drinks were not free. Never been to a hotel where executive floor drinks were not free. No big deal. It was a good location for the beer fest, and a nice hotel. I guess that I was just expecting more for the Regency Club price.

Great view, wonderful location.

Everything about the Hyatt was perfect. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Excellent mattress, nice toiletries, easy internet connection. The view west from the 31st floor is breathtaking. The city lights at night, the rockies rolling back by day. A snap to walk to the 16th street mall, Larimer square, the Denver Art museum, great public transportation including buses to Boulder.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The super shuttle from DIA is cheap and frequent. The Hyatt is an automatic stop about every 15 minutes so timing a trip to the airport doesn’t require excessive lead-time.

Excellent Stay - 2 Times in One Month

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Convention Center and the light rail. It is also one street away from shopping, restaurants, etc. The baseball stadium is also within walking distance to the hotel....great stay! The staff was helpful and courteous at all times. I highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again in an instant!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

If in town during a Rockies game it is well worth going to. We had a great time!

Convenient and in a good location

This hotel is centrally located to many restaurants and shopping. The beds were a little hard, the staff very friendly and the hotel overall was very nice. I stayed there because my conference was being held there. They charge $10 per day per laptop if you want to be wireless in your room. I think parking was $15 per day. There is also a free train that takes you around the shopping and restaurant area. Supershuttle runs every 10 minutes and its the last stop before the airport. It only took 30 minutes on a Sunday morning and roundtrip was $34. MUCH cheaper than a cab and just as fast.

Traveler's tip on dining

There is an absolutely fabulous italian restaurant less than a mile from the hotel and across from the big train station. It was called Venice Ristorante. I had the pesto gnocchi which was to die for. The gnocchi is made fresh in the restaurant. If you don’t want to pay $6 for a bottle of water ask for tap. The waiter made us think bottled was the only option but then other tables were getting pitchers of water.

Great hotelfor short stays

Very clean, well-organized hotel, but not a good choice if you like to have a fridge or microwave in your room for snacks. This was really our only complaint. We like to have our cereal and coffee in our room, but there was no place to store milk or anything cold. However, the location is great for walking to various Denver shopping places and restaurants.

Downtown Denver

Good location. Convenient to ballpark, skatepark, bike paths, and downtown mall.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

If you like to ride a bike and want to utilize Denver’s great bike path system. Rent a bike, but be careful riding to and from the path in downtown traffic.

Definitely a place to stay

This hotel is in the heart of downtown. It is a fairly large hotel, which can be impersonal, however it is run extremely efficiently and the service is impeccable. If you want to stay in a place where you can count on a brand name and be in a location that is in the midst of everything, this is the place.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Denver has so much to offer, from sporting evetns, to breweries and shopping. Staying downtown provides the business or leisure traveler access to everything from dining, to taking a day trip to Boulder, to a great nightlife.

Wish I’d have stayed longer

The Hyatt Regency Denver is a beautiful Hotel, perfectly located in the middle of downtown Denver. We only checked in for one night, but I immediately wished that were staying longer. The location is perfect for just about anything you want to do in downtown Denver. Service was excellent. Felt like a five star guest paying a three star price.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Park your car and walk everywhere. Downtown Denver is great.

Family Vacation

Hyatt Regency Denver was a great hotel for our family. The hotel was immaculate and the staff outstanding. The hotel has a convenient location just one short block from the 16th Street Mall where restaurants abound. We experienced a problem with our TV remote control one evening. The remote still did not work properly after the tech left. Called the front desk who immediately had the remote control replaced. The following day we received a phone message followed by a live phone call apologizing for the faulty remote AND a box of chocolates by way of apology. Now that is customer service! The hotel has a small lap pool and a large well equipped health club. Enterprise Cars has a rental office in the hotel lobby and we easily and conveniently rented a car for several days as we explored outside of the city. Beware that free parking is non-existent in Denver. Hotel parking was expensive. Due a special car rental offer, we rented the car on a Friday night not really needing it until Saturday. The Enterprise agent and the hotel staff worked together to enable us to leave the car on the Enterprise lot until needed on the following day, thus saving a night’s parking fee.

Traveler's tip

Save BIG BUCKS by taking RTD public transit at DIA. Bus is similar to Greyhound but is part of the public transportation system. Cost is $10 pp ages 16 + (my oldest is 16 and the driver -both ways- said not to pay for him), kids are free. It takes 1 hour to get into Downtown Denver’ s Market St. Station. Go upstairs and take the free 16th St. shuttle to California St. (3 min ride) and walk 1 very short block to the hotel. This transport was convenient, friendly, and saved about $100 round trip.

Denver’s Best Hotel

We were so impressed with the Hyatt in downtown Denver! Excellent location (within walking distance of the US Mint, The Capital, and 16th Street shopping/dining). Spectacular views of the city. There was a very friendly, nicely dressed, professional male, with a smile on his face, who greeted us at the Front Desk upon check-in. He was very helpful and answered some basic questions for us. Our room was spotless, nicely decorated, extremely quiet (we never heard toilets flush, water running, etc.), and extremely comfortable (down pillows, comforter). We have told many family members and friends about this wonderful hotel in downtown Denver, so that if they pay a visit to Denver, they stay at the Hyatt!!!
