Very friendly and courteous

The hotel was easy to find and everything a business traveler would want in a easy place to get to. I would stay there again if I was to have to be in Milwaukee.

I enjoyed my stay here except

the hotel is furnished in very good tastes. The staff are very friendly and professional. I didn’t like the area as any type of store was quite a distance. There was a sub shop across the street which gave some relief to eating and the restaurant. The only downside to this hotel is apparent if you dont enter through the front lobby. Rather enter on the restaurant side and you will see buckets everywhere. The roof leaks terribly. Had to change rooms to a downstairs unit but then I could hear the plunbing leaking from upstairs bathroom dripping on to the ceiling above our room.

Good Value!

This hotel had a friendly airport shuttle service. An attached restaurant served a good, filling breakfast. The special fall rate through Expedia made this an excellent value for an overnight stay.

The non-existant shuttle

I was told there would be shuttle to the airport at 6:30 AM for my 8 AM flight. I was told that that was the regular shuttle run to the airport. As it turned out, there was no one to shuttle me to the airport and the person at the desk did not know that there was some one to be shuttled to the airport. I, therfore, had to call a taxi. This was somewhat disconcerting since I had put trust in the policies of the hotel. I had also previously told a person at the desk that I would need a shuttle at a certain time to the airport and they reassured me that would happen.It did not.

Customer service bad

The hotel was okay for the price but I was very upset with the service. I asked if we could park there for the weekend while we were gone and the lady told me we could but didn’t bother to mention it would cost $30.00. When we arrived I was quite shocked when I had to pay it. The man at the desk was very indifferent and would not waive the charge for me or do anything to make me feel better about having to pay this charge.

Best Value and what I was looking for

The hotel was convenient for what I needed - a place to rest before a flight out of Milwaukee the next day. Room was clean and nice. Cable TV. There was even a fitness room down the hall. I opted for the diner neighboring the hotel instead. It appears that the neighborhood may have had crime in the past - being next to the highway, and seeing signs on the doors entering to lock your vehicle and not expose valuables. I was fine. Slept great and got a complimentary ride to the airport the next day.

Keep good work. I didn’t have chair(s) in the room which was not convenient.

Ghetto

There was hair on the toilet, in the tub, and on the blankets. There was trash in the trash cans and between the dresser and desk. Free shuttle service from the airport was nice but the girl that picked us up explained she was 9 months pregnant and would not lift our bags. She didn’t even get out of the van. Then she drove with the windows down and music up loud. Front desk was helpful and polite. Called front desk as hair dryer (provided in room) was not working. After 30 minutes, maintenance man showed up. He installed a brand new one and cursed when he realized he had put it in upside down. He was not helpful or polite. I would not recommend this hotel to young people, especially young women as we DID NOT feel safe during our stay here until we were locked in our room.

If you’re interested in doing "local stuff", stay closer to downtown. The part of town this hotel is located in is very scary!

park and fly

This hotel advertised free park and fly. However, they meant that it’s free to park the night that you stay at the hotel. You are charged $30 to leave you car for the weekend. Also, we waited over an hour for pick up from the airport after our return. This service was very poor and counteracted the low advertised price.

Avoid this hotel

We were successfully shuttled to and from the airport, although the return trip was in a van with no seat belts in the back seat where we were sitting. There are 2 floors on this hotel. There is no elevator. So be prepared to carry your suitcases upstairs. The hallways smelled like stale alcohol and peanuts, and there were pistachio nuts everywhere in the hallways as if it hadn’t been vacuumed for weeks. There were other guests banging in and out of their rooms at all hours of the night. Our room was a non smoking room but smelled of stale smoke anyway. I parked for park and fly and didn’t expect my vehicle would be there intact when I returned, but fortunately it was. I would never stay there again.

Hotel from the 60’s on the outside with nice rooms

Driving up to the hotel reminded me of the 60’s when my parents would take us on driving trips. Two story hotel with individual doors on the outside a balcony and patios. Everything looked old. Inside the room we found modern decor, good beds and a comfortable night stay. The heated outdoor pool in the courtyard was good for a quick dip.

not impressed

We were not given the room we had reserved through Expedia. The balcony door did not open more then two inches. The hallways were dirty and had trash overflowing in the trash cans.

HoJo - No Go!

My daughter, her friend, & I traveled 3.5 hrs to stay here during Summerfest to see a concert. We had some confusion about the shuttle service & ended up at a parking lot other than our "host" parking lot (about 5 min from hotel), and we were told "to bad". The shuttle driver Josh was helpful & did end up picking us up after 1.5 hrs. Towels & sheets hadn’t been changed - lipstick on towel & pee in bed. Staff not helpful. Pool not open on time. Not Impressed!

Summerfest was incredible! Will return in the future; however, won’t stay at this hotel. The price was reasonable but staff should be more concerned about their guest’s safety & well-being.

Basic accommodations at a reasonable price.

I needed a reasonable accommodation for the evening as my flight arrived after all car rental agencies had closed. The free 24-hour shuttle service was prompt, the room rate very reasonable, and while nothing fancy, the room itself had all the basic amenities. The hotel staff was also friendly and helpful. If you are looking for frills, I would advise going elsewhere, where you will also pay a lot more, but for basic and adequate accommodations at a reasonable price - this hotel fits the bill nicely.

Great price for short stay

This hotel was a great place to stay; short distance from the airport without the airport hotel prices. Restaurant attached had great home cooked meals! Rooms are clean and had everything I needed for my short one-night stay.

Helpful staff

Front desk personnel very helpful in giving mapquest directions for quicker route through snowstorm to our destination once we left motel. Restaurant attached had great meals.

Continental Breakfast?

This would be a nice motel if you don’t care about the alleged free continental breakfast -- it consisted of a coffee machine (we are caffeine free and don’t like coffee) and about a half dozen mini croissants, with no butter or anything else to put on them. This was at 8:30 am, and the alleged continental breakfast is supposed to last until 10:00 am. When we checked out (about 9 am) even the mini croissants were missing.
