"Great place to visit"

Albuquerque is a such a great place to visit. There is much to see and do, and within a short drive to many attractions. An hours drive to Santa Fe, and all that it has to offer. The Albuquerque Hyatt met all my expectations, and the staff was very courteous. I received the room I requested, and had a great view of the mountains and the city. Services great, restaurant food was great, and the room service food was very nice. I would recommend Hyatt Albuquerque as the place to stay when you visit the city of Albuquerque.

take time and rent a car and drive up to the Taos area. beautiful place.

Think twice!

Parking is underground, alone, and scary. My room key failed to work twice so that a manager had to let me into my room, demanding identification. This meant that I couldn’t leave again for ice or breakfast without assistance or completely "moving out" because I could not regain entry into my room again without the manager letting me in. Don’t forget the return to the parking garage the next morning. Horrible conditions in which to stay the night.

Albuquerque is an interesting city with a fair amount of attractions and historical sites. Be careful though. My daughter and I were nearly the victims of a hit and run on Central five years ago. This is not a safe city in every sense of the phrase.

Great room

The Hyatt room and view of down town plaza was fabulous. A source of irritation is the nickel and diming: $10 a day for WIFI, $12 a day to park, no paper, and no breakfast.

Great!

Great hotel at a great price. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Close to everything in Albuquerque. Very quick cab ride (about $8) or short bus ride to Old Town. Love this hotel.

Not impressed with the second tallest building

The hotel was nice but it missed out in cleanliness. The location in the convention area is good because of the proximity to transportation. Breakfast was not included in the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Traveler's tip on dining

Try the Standard Diner and Artichoque. Awesome and nearby

A decent place

This is a nice hotel with good views at a reasonable price. My only complaint was that our room wasn’t cleaned during one of our three days there. Disappointing to come back to an unmade bed and old towels.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The Hispanic Cultural Center has nice museum

A perfect place to stay

I loved my trip to Albequerque. The hotel was clean and the staff was all very friendly and helpful. I had the best room in the hotel, it overlooked the mountains and the sunrise was amazing! The room was alway clean, plenty of towels and even toothpaste. The room service staff was very pleasant and always willing to offer friendly advice on sightseeing tips. The king bed was extremely comfortable with great pillows. I would have liked WIFI in my room included with the price. I wish I would have rented a car to get to the mountains but other than that I would stay there again.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Ask for a top floor room facing the mountains, it makes the down time from your seminar very relaxing.

NOT a 4-star or diamond hotel

I made reservations first (required full payment), and read hotel reviews later....never, ever, again. There aren’t that many nice hotels to pick from in the first place and I was horrified when I read the reviews by others. I called the hotel and expressed concern before our trip. The manager that I spoke to was absolutely a professional and did care, even left a nice fruit and cheese tray for us. The front desk service was great and so were the bellmen at the front door, but the entire housekeeping staff should be fired. Not only was the room cleanliness poor, it didn’t get better when I called about the egg on the hallway carpet, after it had been there for three days. Don’t bother asking for new towels or sheets after a few days either...doesn’t happen.

Great hotel

Big room, big bed, big bathroom, really nice hotel. Good food, close to lots of things down town. Just a winner. I was surprised at how nice the hotel was when I walked into my room.

A good place to stay

Clean and quiet. Staff very courteous and responsive. Clogged toilet was fixed within 5 minutes of notification. Elevators can be slow and rooms do not have refrigerators or clothing steamers. Bring your IPOD as radios have hookup and are preprogrammed to only four FM channels (some religious). Beds comfortable and air conditioning was fine.

Traveler's tip

Next door to Albuquerque Convention Center. No hotel airport shuttle but Sunport shuttle was prompt, fast and inexpensive. Hotel food/beverage costs high and no alternatives within several blocks.

Parking

I don’t think parking should be charged to Guest of the Hotel. $ 12 a day was ridiculess.

Nice hotel and staff

The hotel is nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice lounge and restaurant and great shops in the lobby.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

There’s not much to do nearby. Old Town is nice. It’s about 1 1/2 miles away. Or rent a car and go to Santa Fe.

Poor bed

The beds in this hotel were very uncomfortable,it was difficult to sleep with sheets gathering up around your feet. The bed were never made good, and i figured this caused the sheets to bunch up.

Traveler's tip on dining

The dining in this area is very limited ifyou don’t have transportation, and if you do it is very expensive to park at this hotel.

overpriced and overrated

This hotel was OK if I was paying a much cheaper rate. As it was it was no better than hotels 1/2 it’s price. The food and exotic drinks were good though. I was just as pleased with a room with 1/2 it’s value on anothr side of town. It was not downtown.

Traveler's tip

cucumber drink and delicious pancakes
