Great stay at The Curtis

Great little hotel in a very convenient area. Walking distance to good food and shopping. Also close to all the Denver sport venues. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was different than other hotels- with themed floors. We stayed on the science fiction floor-which worried us at first- but the themes are tastefully done- and add a bit of fun to your stay but aren’t overwhelming at all. I’d definitely stay there again next time I’m in Denver. Great hotel.

Very Satisfied

Although this hotel was more trendy that those we usually stay at, it was a nice change. Very comfortable rooms and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and cordial, and very service-minded. Loved the orange-scented soaps, shampoos, etc. This hotel is very close to the theatre, which is why we chose it in the first place.

Hip, boutique hotel

I stayed at the Curtis, picking it mainly because it was in walking distance to the convention center and I didn’t want to a)rent a car or b)stay at convention center hotel. What a pleasant surprise! The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, and whoever did it had an eye for the funky eclectic. But it’snot a snobby re-do - meaning, it wasn’t trying to be too high-style. The staff were friendly and I’d definitely stay there again if I’m coming in for something at the Convention Center or downtown. The restaurant downstairs was pretty good, too.

The Curtis is a great find

The Curtis met all of my needs - clean, comfortable bed, internet that works, tasty and quick breakfast at the restaurant, tastefully decorated, helpful and courteous desk personnel, very reasonable price and perfect location for me. What more could one ask? This is my new hotel of choice when I travel for business to Denver.

No country for older folks

The room assigned us was not the one we purchased via Expedia. We had purchased a two queen bed room and got a single king bed instead. Due to dinner and concert committments we did not have time to request a room change. The Friday night we stayed there young adults (probably students that are residents there) were up until 2:30am yelling and partying on our floor. Then some were up as early as 6:30am talking loudly in the hall making it impossible to sleep. My wife and I got virtually no sleep the entire night. The bed gives you a choice of a sheet and a very heavy duvet. The sheet was not enough cover and the duvet was much too heavy for comfort. When trying to use the elevators, a constant heavy flux of young people (students again?) made it very diffcult and time consuming to get to and from the room. The manager was considerate and did allow us to cancel our scheduled second night there.

Entertaining Elevators

We loved the elevator announcing the theme for each floor that we stopped on all floors during our stay. The "Corner Office" was a great atmosphere for cocktails and dinner as well. Will definitely return.

Great value for a very nice hotel in a terrific area

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Nicely maintained and modern furnishing. Has some nice quirky touches, although the elevator announcements (ours was a Rocky imitator for the 10th floor) were a bit hokey. Hotel is in a great area or town. Lots to do and the theatre complex is just across the street. I would definitely stay here again when next in Denver.

Excellent hotel

We had a great stay. The hotel is comfortable and clean, and in a good location for the business I was in Denver to take care of. The "quirkiness" of the hotel - with the themed floors, and Orange accented color scheme, were actually fun without be taken to an extreme. The staff was also quite friendly.

Great option

Within two blocks of 16th Street Mall. Service was very friendly and helpful. Theme floors are a bit hokey, but fun. My friend sent his daughter a photo of the convertible roadster telephone.

Good hotel

This is a unique, pop-culture themed hotel. The room was clean and nice and the decor was fun and interesting. Only two complaints. First, I booked a room with a king-sized bed, but when I checked in, the only king room available was the ADA/wheelchair accessable room. This room did not have a tub and there was no closet to make room for a wheelchair accessable shower. (There was a bureau or wardrobe, but it took up extra space in the room.) Second, the water pressure in the shower was very low and the hot water was scarce in the morning.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

This hotel is directly across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Center. Very convenient if you are going to a show or performance.

Bit expensive, but if you have the cash, do it!

Beautiful, great location right in the heart of downtown. Very comfortable bed. So-so view from my room but I am sure there are better. Overall good stay.

Curtis was a cool hotel

They did a great job of taking an older building and making it fun. Make sure you ride the elevator to every floor! I was there for a conference, and the service was fantastic - from the food and cleanup at the conference, to the room being clean and spotless every day. I would definitely stay there again if I need to be in Denver. Only downside - lots of homeless people out and around...but it’s "downtown", and probably should be expected. Beyond the control of the hotel.

It was okay...

I was impressed with the service but the room was not very clean. The hotel has a fun atmosphere and the room service was amazing. Other than that it was all just okay.

The Curtis

A very nice, boutique hotel, in downtown Denver. Easy walking distance to any event at the Colorado Convention Center or anything else going on downtown. Even treks to Coors Field or Mile High Stadium, while longer, are not out of the question. THe staff at the hotel was very helpful and the facilities were clean and well cared for.

Worth the money

No problems. Very nice. Interesting theme - different on each floor. I’d stay here again. Paid to park, but free wi-fi. Good location.

girls night & fabulous

The hotel service was excellent! the restraunt/bar downstairs was fun at night with a good crowd/vibe. The rooms were a little small, but clean and fun with touches of the floor theme thoughout. The only negative was that I forgot my flatiron there and called the hotel and the cleaning department did not call me back as was requested. You do have to pay for parking or there is a cheaper parking garage within walking distance. Overall fun and funky place to stay while exploring downtown Denver!

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Very close to 16th Street Mall with lots of shopping, Invesco, Coors Field and bars. The Mall shuttle will bus you up and down the street to get within walking distance of many of these destinations and the last shuttle runs until 1:30 am.

Nice location but hotel not as unique as I expected

The location was ideal however I thought the themed floors would be a little more exciting. The only thing in our room related to the "speed racer" floor theme was a car clock. Even the pictures haning weren’t part of the theme so that was a little disappointing.

very unique hotel, every floor has a theme. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will be staying in downtown Denver. when I return... I will stay at The Curtis.

Excellent hotel at a fantastic price

I stayed at the Curtis for a class I was attending and the service was excellent, atmosphere was great and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic and there were many awesome restaurants within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and hope to do so on my next trip to Denver.

Welcome home my friends you are on the 13th floor

We had a great time. Every floor has a theme and its carried into the rooms. The staff seemed cool to me although we did not really ask them for much. All and all I would say it is a great place to stay. Clean and friendly with a great location only a block from 16th Street Mall. As far as the posts about the noise from the other rooms. We did not hear anything; we thought it was very quite. All the best -Mike

take some time and check out every floor. the elevator says something different on each and all the art is themed to that floor. very cool!!

Highly recommended

The hotel was wonderful. We enjoyed having themed rooms. The disappointment was that the rooms weren’t decorated to match the theme of the floor. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. There was a nice selection of books and games to chose from. Which is a wonderful touch. Everything was within walking distance which was nice. It is an excellent location.
