Decent

This is a conveniently located hotel to 90 and 95 and rte 9. It is located in an industrial park. The staff is nice, and my room was nice and a little larger than your typical hotel room. It is on a hill and has decent landscaping, but it shares a driveway with a corporate looking building, and it has a telephone tower on the property.

Great Location, Fee for Parking

In addition to what I paid through Expedia I was required to pay an additional $9 to park on the hotel premises. There are no convenient alternatives as the hotel is set up on a hillside. Other than this, it is a nice hotel: clean, comfortable and convenient to Needham and Newton Center without having to get back on the highway.

We will never stay at this hotel again. Our daughter goes to a college near this hotel but we will find another hotel to stay for our future visits. The staff were very cold and rather rude. It required additional fees or something for every service. We felt that we were scolded when we asked for help like "directions" We were totally disgusted when we left.

Perfectly Fine.

Hotel is easy to find and in a good location, right off the highway. It could use a bit of a facelift, but the price is right for what it is....clean and spare, but functional.

Traveler's tip

The hotel is a few hundred yards off of Route 128, but a cab ride away from any public transportation. You are going to need a car to get there, and to get around.

It was just okay

The hotel is in a strange location. I think it is next to a radio station as there are a lot of large satellite dishes. There is nothing nice outside to see if you want to take a walk. We were expecting a king bed but were given 2 double beds and they would not change our room.

Bath Room

There are no Soaps in the Bath room. I used my own soap.

Would defintely stay again

Clean rooms, attractive lobby, staff very friendly.

Good place to stay

The staff was polite and helpful. No complaints about the room. Location was convenient because of friends in the area, otherwise might have been a pain if you needed public transit access. Don’t know if it was the best value but I would stay there again.

Items Stolen and Free Shuttle not available when needed

I had selected this place because it promised a free shuttle service within a five mile radius of the hotel. On arrival I was told by the reception desk that the shuttle was only only available during certain hours which made my stay inconvenient. In addition the hotel was in the middle of nowhere with access to no amenities of bus service. On departure, I found that I had left my therapeutic massage cane called a "theracane" (I am recoverung from a serious fall, and this was provided by the physical therapist)in the room. I called immdiately and althought the room was empty, the cleaning staff would not return the cane! After several attempts to recover it I had to purchase another one. I would not recommend thia hotel to anyone.

I have stayed here many times and not been satisfied. You pay for parking which is not close and if you have luggage you have to walk quite a distance and go up an incline or stairs. Pick one, they are both inconvenient. Staff is nice, but the hotel is very run down and shabby. Stay only if there is nothing else available.

Truly pleasurable

Elegant, quiet, sophisticated, friendly! Everything one can hope for in a weekend visit to suburban Boston.

Concierge provided a detailed listing of area restaurants in a photocopied booklet. Excellent source for a frequent visitor to the area.

not too clean

had problems with cleanliness. found previous room’s occupant’s hairbrush on the floor. Hair dryer was covered in something sticky. Also found a giant scary bug in the room, yuk!!

Good hotel but tucked away and smoky first floor

The hotel was nice and clean. Very nice staff. But the first floor was probably a smoking floor and even my room is non-smoking, it did have "old" smoke smell. I had to keep the window open but there is no screen on the window. The entrance of the hotel was tucked away and you have to circle around to find it. Other those, the hotel is a great bargain, for being only 6-7 miles from Boston. Cars with handicap stickers park there for free.

AWESOME HOTEL

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and awesome hospitality of the hotel and staff. We were late getting to the hotel due to someone on the Interstate wanting to go through the rear of our MV, I called the hotel to let them know we would be late. Well when we finally arrived, the staff made sure to ask all of us if we were ok and don’t hesitate to ask for anything we need. They also had cheese, crackers and fruit in our room. They were wonderful.

Clean, comfortable, overpriced.

Very comfortable and perfectly clean. The light-brownish room decor created a rather dismal effect. The hotel charges extra for parking, and for other things. A fellow who offered to carry our bags to the room was overinsistent, so we gave in and then felt obliged to tip. Breakfast menu prices in the hotel restaurant were truly outrageous. All in all, it was as if they were out to squeeze every bit of money out of us that they could.

Old hotel that’s struggling to keep up. Not horrible.

I realize that it’s hard for older hotels to keep up, but this one could stand a renovation...looked ok but felt well used. Front desk staff were all VERY nice but not spectacularly competent. A cab ordered well in advance never was called. Several charges showed up on bill, were never incurred and took a long time to correct. But staff was very cordial. Cleaning staff could use some training.

Make sure that you request the w/e restaurant 25% discount...you won’t get it if you don’t ask.

TV problems

overall I like this hotel, however during this last stay I had a problem with the TV. It kept going in and out of color to black and white, I notified the front desk of the problem and all they would end up doing is not fix the problem but just offer me a free breakfast. Seems like it would have been a easy fix, just swap out one TV in another unoccupied room for the TV with a problem.

Comfortable Hotel - But Not Conveniently Located

Our room at the Sheraton Needham was spacious and clean. We had a nice view overlooking the wooded area across the street. Local transportation was problematic. The advertised shuttle bus was not available after 3 PM on Friday and was not available at all on weekends. Taxis were not readily available. Dining options were limited, although the staff did provide bananas and water for runners the morning of Boston Marathon.
