Loved the location

I loved, loved, loved our stay at the Hilton. Even with 4 women staying in a 2 bed suite we had plenty of room to spread out our belongings. There was a problem with the air conditioner but when I called down to the desk they immediately sent someone up to fix it. Soon cool air was flowing again. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. With a small living room, 2 TV’s, microwave, fridge, iron, ironing board and a safe we had all the comforts of home. We were there to attend a Keith Urban concert at the Sommet. Our room overlooked the venue. It was a thrill to wake on the morning of the concert and look out our window to see his buses and trucks lined up under us. Great view. We were centrally located to all the entertainment and resturaunts which meant our car stayed parked and we could walk anywhere we wanted to go. The only thing I would have changed is the bathroom. Although it was very spacious, the grooming area was not separate from the tub/shower/toilet area. This meant if someone was using the facilities the others had to wait to get to the sink area. Small price to pay for what was a very enjoyable experience.

Even though we were on the 8th floor, the music from the Sports Bar, which was right under us, drifted up. Since the bars in Nashville don’t close until 3 am this could have been a problem but I had brought some ear plugs for just such an occurance. Worked perfectly.

Not impressed. . .

. . . with the quality of service for the price. Ordered room service and finally had to go down to the restaurant to pick it up. The got the order wrong! I could have gotten this type of service at a drive thru - and for a lot less!! The room was ok but could not get a river view "with this reservation".

Pleasing my wife...

Two things my wife and I expect at a nice hotel are great beds and great location. This hotel had both. We stayed for a concert at the Sommet Center and the location could not have been better. We walked to dinner and bars on Broadway and didn’t break a sweat. Probably the most convenient hotel I have ever stayed at, like they built Nashville around this hotel. The room had a sleeping room and lounging/office room, both spotless. My wife is hard to please when it comes to just about everything at hotels, and she said it was perfect. Then the beds...can I just say that we are accustomed to waking up to our toddler at 6am sharp every morning. After a late night, which for us is midnight, we woke up at 10:30am from a wakeless sleep!!!!!! Sorry if that sounds too poetic, but I have not slept that long in 5 years. Needless to say we will stay at this hotel every time we visit Nashville. Heck, even the elevators smelled good. Like they are pumping eucalyptus and cedar scents throughout the hotel. VERY nice escape from our dogs and diapers!

We followed up a Coldplay concert with a dueling pianos bar called "The Big Bang"...incredible live music from two young singers on the piano. Danced the whole time. "Rocky Top" with the locals was the best. Great place if you can get in!

Issues handled

The hotel, in general, was nice but we had an issue with the bathroom. In the midst of showering, shortly after checking in, I noticed something sliding down the side of the tub. Upon closer inspection, I found that it was a used condom. Yes, a used condom. I screamed. My sisters-in-law came running to see what had happened (and take photos). I jumped out of the shower with shampoo still in my hair. It took at least 15 minutes for the maintenance person to arrive and remove the item. We’re still not sure where it came from - it was either in the tub prior to showering or had fallen out of a folded washcloth that I had been using. Either way, gross. The manager was notified and sent a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese tray. Because we had booked our room on Expedia, they couldn’t comp it. Instead, they comped our lunch for 8 people the following day. Besides that incident, we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are decent and the suite layout is convenient. Location is awesome. I would definitely stay there again.

You can’t beat the location of the hotel! The beds are super comfy. The only problem with the hotel is the pool and fitness center. Both leave a lot to be desired. But there are nice running trails right out the door of the hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the service, including valet and concierge, was very efficient. Our room was considered a suite and had a separate sitting room with desk, tv,convertible, frig.coffee machine, and a MICROWAVE.The gym and indoor pool were a plus in the rainy weather we encountered.Would stay here again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Do your research before you come to Nashville. Many attractions,as you would expect, center around Country Music.If this is not your thing, you will have to search for other things to do. Try theses:The Grand Ole Opry ,just for the experience; Cheekworth(a botanical garden outside of the city); walk through Vanderbilt University.There are plantation tours as well. Eat at Zolas;Don’t eat at Watermark..cold, snooty wait staff.

Really nice place but not smoker friendly

This was a beautiful hotel. The bed was VERY comfortable, it was walking distance from the action downtown as well as good food on site. My only dissapointment is that we paid the extra change to stay at this particular hotel because there was a smoking room "available" online where the other options did not. Yet at check-in we informed that they only have 10 smoking rooms and you have to go stand out side with the vallets to smoke. Honestly, I do nt mind going outside to smoke but it was not like you could go out on a balcony or just open your door- everytime required a trip around to the elevator and down then you have to walk through the grand lobby before getting outside which was more than annoying in ones PJs. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

self parking at the the hotel was cheaper than the valet option provided and was easily accessible from an elevator near the front desk.

Great weekend

Everyone at the hotel were fantastic. Walking distance from great restaurents and fun!! Maybe a little higher than you are planning to pay however everything was walking distance and we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about driving around or getting a taxi!!

Great location...near all downtown attractions.

The only problem we had was that the shower/toilet area was not separated from the dressing area. This was a little uncomfortable in that there was no privacy there.

Beautiful hotel in a great location.

This hotel was beatiful and in a great location downtown. Across the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame and only eight miles from Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall. The Hard Rock Cafe is two blocks away and Titan’s Stadium is within walking distance. The two-room suite could have been laid out a little better. Both rooms were tight. One big room would have been better, although the two rooms did provide privacy if needed. The sleeper sofa was uncomfortable to sit on. A comfortable couch would have been nice, especially considering it was a suite that has two double beds. Over all, very pleased with this hotel and would definitely stay again, just maybe in a different room.

Check-in representative not very helpful or empathetic. Very matter of fact... "this is how it is, too bad".

We have stayed at several hotels in Nashville and this one by far had the best service, staff and location.

Great place - especially if you’re going to Summet Center

We went to a concert at Summet Center which is right across the street. Very convenient. Also, if you enjoy the honky tonk of Lower Broad, you are only a block away. Sports bar and grille reasonably priced and food decent. Bed was very comfortable. All in all, had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Within walking distance of Famous Tootsie’s, The Stage, BB Kings, Wild Horse and across from Summet Center.

Perfect location to visit Nashville’s music scene!

While pricey, the rooms were comfortable, but not spacious. The hotel is only one block away from Broadway Street, Nashville’s legendary Music Row where up and coming musical groups entertain starting at 10 AM. The pool is indoors, so don’t plan on sunbathing.

There’s always live music to hear, and it’s not all country. Tootsie’s, the Second Fiddle, and the Stage are all must sees! Plan to spend hours listening and dancing to great music. For Blues and R&B, B.B. Kings is the place to go.

Very impressed - LOVE THE HILTON!!!!!!!!!

Our hotel was beautiful and was very conveniently located to all the downtown Nashville attractions. Valet parking was reasonable and the staff was very accomodating and so fun!!!!! We are considering another trip to Nashville but we would not consider staying anywhere else - Hilton was PERFECT!!!!!

a wonderful getaway

My husband and I had worked hard on our farm and decided to spoil ourselves. Excellent food, excellent service. If you go expect to pay for extras: valet, room service, etc.

best in Nashville

I was very impressed with the Hilton downtown. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly. The rooms are very large. I stay at another hotel in Nashville alot in the same price range but the rooms are very small and charge you $15 daily fees for what you get free at most hotels. Walking distance to alot of restaurants and downtown entertainment. I will stay at the hilton from now on.

Very nice hotel

The hotel was very nice, elegant in its appearance. It was very nice having two separate rooms. There is a bedroom and a sitting room with another tv and a sofa. The bathroom connects both rooms. There were not many activities to do in the hotel itself. There was a small pool, hottub, and small fitness room. We only went to the breakfast buffet, which was okay. The hotel is very conveniently located, right across the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame and walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Overall very nice hotel.

This hotel was extremely convenient to attractions downtown. Walking distance of dining and nightlife. Lots of police presence downtown so it felt safe. Hotel was extremely nice and staff were friendly and helpful.
