Upon arrival, we found the front desk closed and a note telling us to drive into town to pick up our room key at the Beekman Arms—the oldest continuously operating inn in America. Unfortunately, none of that historic charm extends to this motel. After retrieving an actual metal key, we returned to find a building in serious disrepair. An attic vent was disintegrating off the wall, the grounds were overgrown, and the guest ice service consisted of a plastic……

“The hotel is beautiful, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night of our stay and we were disappointed because we planned on eating there. I guess I should have checked the restaurant hours before booking. Most of the town had businesses that were closed in the middle of the week, so just be aware when you book. The person working the desk recommended a restaurant outside of town and it was good. There was no one at the front desk when we checked out early in the morning. The sign……

“Very old-school, family-owned motel. Nothing fancy but room was very clean.”

“We couldn't turn the AC on the first night, it was regulated by the staff from some other location, second it didn't work properly, they had a fan which wasn't great, but it was something,The room was ok, but a bit quirky. they had a ton of rules, and things not to do. As a whole it was very disappointing.”
