"Amazing stay at Shimaya. The owners, as mentioned in other reviews are outstanding. Gave us a ride to the Snow Monkeys and were very helpful. The breakfast (¥700) was simple and quick - toast, fruit, yoghurt, coffee and juice! Onsen was clean and great. We were on the fourth floor and the views were unreal. Will for sure be returning in the winter! "

"一人で泊まったのですが一番よかったのは雰囲気、空気感です。心がとても和みました。 食事も生ビールもとても美味しくいただきました。お酒のレパートリーもよかったです。 施設も清潔に使いやすく工夫されていました。 宿のスタッフが非常に親切でした。 シャワーのみでお風呂はないのですが、歩いて4分くらいのところの日帰り温泉のサービス券とタオルのサービスで十分すぎると思いました。 スキーオフシーズンにワーケーションで訪れてもよいと思いました。 ただ、1点、4月だったのですが夜とても寒かったです。角部屋だったことやもともと寒がりということもありますが… 暖房設備や寝具などが充実しているともっとよいと思いました。 カフェ&バーの暖炉はとても暖かかったです。 "

"Great deal for the price! Walkable to other areas, easy parking, and the breakfast buffet (mostly Japanese) had a good selection. The hotel also has an onsen (one outdoor) within its grounds. The beds and pillows were too hard for me, but overall, great value for money!"

"There are no private showers at this property. This may not be an issue for most people, but I read a misleading review which made me book this property thinking there were private showers and that is NOT the case. The shower is a combined 4 person shower and tub you can soak in afterwards. The breakfast was amazing and I highly recommend it if you have the option. "Our stay started off well with a shuttle pick up from the station. The traditional look and style of the Yorozuya is beautiful. My husband and I booked the private spa for 2 hours our first night and it only cost $100 for us both to use. The private spa was absolutely amazing and even though it was modern compared to everything else, I loved that it was a private all inclusive experience that my husband and I could enjoy the baths and sauna together at our leisure. They provide drinks inside too...

"伊香保温泉の名物の石段からはほんの少し離れていますが、静かでいい場所です。 駐車場もエントランス正面と、道路を挟んで近くにあり便利です。 大江戸温泉物語グループといえばディナーバイキングですが、食事会場は広くはありません。 そのため、こちらでは目の前での調理はありません。 また、料理が全て壁際に並べてあり、テーブルどうしやテーブルと料理の間の通路が狭く、ちょっと窮屈です。 総評としては、お勧めできる宿ですが、部屋にWi-Fiが無いのは、残念でした。 "

"A lovely cosey place to stay if you are visiting the Snow Monkey Park. We walked from the ryokan to the park, it took about 30 minutes to the gate and I am a slow walker. A nice town to wander around if you have the time. "

"The staff were amazing and very accommodating with bags. They actually have a pick up service depending on your arrival and departure times. This was a bonus since it worked out when we were leaving. Our room was very spacious and comfortable!"

"Clean, quiet & a very cute location without tourists and crowds. My family enjoyed the serenity after spending 2 days in Tokyo and very close to snow monkey park allowing us to be the first ones there. Def recommend!!"
