“Comfortable bed, breakfast was good, friendly and helpful staff, great gift shop in the lobby, and the complimentary coffee was delicious. Ice machine was convenient to our room. Thankfully a younger guest offered to carry my suitcase up the stairs. I was a little nervous about that but it all worked out. Guests respected the quiet hours. Delicious complimentary sweets at the check in desk were an unexpected treat too! We also loved the closeness of the motel to the entrance to the refuge. ……

“The aesthetic of the cottages is quintessential beach chic, which I appreciate. We stayed in one of the Key Lime cottages which had plenty of space for two people. Sunsets here are hard to beat and if you're a birder, there is a crazy amount of waterfowl that come right up to the docks. The bathroom is very nice and the beds are comfortable. The pool is great but can get crowded with kids. The location is very close to many stores and restaurants on Main and Maddox. I would definitely stay……

“No staff on site to check us in. An envelope with instructions was left for us in the lobby (main door unlocked at ALL times). Found the room unlocked with the key hanging on the wall inside. The whole check in process is a security concern. The web site says free self-parking. There is street parking in front but limited to 3 hours. We called the management number. An operator answering the call tried to connect us to the management but got no answer. We left a message but never got a call or……

“Guys it’s a clean room with a bed that’s comfy. Typical motel layout but rooms are upscale. Looks shady af but overcome that and just say it’s beachy and you will love it!”
