“The room was very comfortable and spacious. Our children enjoyed the pool which was clean and well cared for. We ate three meals at the restaurant which were all great. The staff were all friendly. We saw iguanas and monkeys in the courtyard which was also fun. Highly recommend.”

“Very unique place, artsy, non-corporate, delightful. Bungalows had covered porches with very comfortable outdoor furniture, including tables, couches, fans and lighting. AC worked great. Ilse and her staff are incredibly responsive and go out of their way to make this a wonderful and welcoming place. Breakfast is right on the beach but in the shade of trees and umbrellas. Walking distance (5 min) to vibrant downtown with clubs, excellent restaurants and shopping. We ate at the hotel’s small……

“Rolando is an absolute gem! If I could give him higher than a 10/10 rating I would! The whole hotel is a hidden treasure. White sand beach, hammocks, firm comfortable bed, hot water and great water pressure. Patio was glorious for morning coffee or take it to one of the beach loungers. You can watch the waves roll in from your bed. The value is in the location (walk to anything- 10963867ish restaurants, shops, markets etc) CUSTOMER SERVICE ❤️ and Costa Rican authenticity- if you want marble……

“This is truly a gem of a stay. Everything is so close…beaches, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, shopping. Gated with good parking and plenty of shade. Three pools to choose from and the nicest staff we had our whole trip to CR. Highly recommend!”

“Rooms were great! AC worked amazingly. Margie at the front desk was so helpful with luggage storage and making us feel comfortable. The pool was great and there is an outdoor shower. Breakfast was unreal, many options with the traditional breakfast and coffee was great too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheeper stay in Tamarindo with easy access to the beach and downtown. ”

The location in Palm Beach Estates was ideally situated, where a short walk on a shaded path led to a wonderful, expansive and nearly private beach. The grounds at Hotel El Manglar were quite lush and well maintained. The swimming pool and surrounding deck areas were equally well maintained. Our room……
