Check-in plus the terrace bar were perfect - we used the terrace when we arrived and for an early morning coffee before breakfast, No room service or evening meals, but we’re didn’t need either. A huge range of eating options within 5-10 minutes walk. Apart from strolling around Rye, we also drove to Rye Harbour (free car park there) and walked to the Discovery Centre and the sea. Note that for the hotel car park you pay £10.00 per day and this needs to be done……

“I specifically booked this hotel because it has a lift and my mum cannot do stairs. We were attending a special family celebration and wanted to stay the night to make a weekend of it. When we arrived at the hotel, the lift was broken - the steps to the first floor were exceedingly steep and narrow - my poor mum was absolutely unable to climb them. There were no ground floor rooms available so we had to cancel the booking and are going through the Expedia complaints process to get a refund.……

“Good location with easy parking, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Though cooked breakfast was good, would have appreciated some fruit salad with breakfast rather than a fruit bowl. Beds were comfy and we had a river view (when it was there!).”
